Job summary

Source-Right is seeking a senior Data Engineer specialized in Microsoft Fabric to design and manage end-to-end data pipelines. You will work with analysts, BI developers, and stakeholders to deliver analytics solutions, dashboards, and data models within Fabric, ensuring quality, security, and scalable data architectures.

The role requires 7–10 years of experience, strong SQL skills, and advanced knowledge of Azure SQL, Synapse, Power BI, and CI/CD practices for data engineering.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement data pipelines using Microsoft Fabric (Data Factory, Dataflows, Synapse, Lakehouse).
• Develop and optimize ETL/ELT processes for structured and unstructured data.
• Manage and maintain data lakes, warehouses, and lakehouses within Fabric.
• Collaborate with data analysts, BI developers, and business stakeholders to deliver end-to-end analytics solutions.
• Build and maintain Power BI datasets, reports, and dashboards integrated with Fabric.
• Collaborate with business teams to translate requirements into data models and visualizations.
• Ensure data quality, governance, and security across all data assets.
• Monitor and troubleshoot data workflows, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Automate workflows and contribute to CI/CD practices for data engineering.
• Stay updated with emerging features in Microsoft Fabric and recommend adoption strategies.
• Should have sound knowledge on database concepts like Entity-relationship, Data modeling, DDL and DML statements etc.
• Advance knowledge of Azure SQL DB & Synapse Analytics, Power BI, SSIS, SSRS, T-SQL, Logic Apps
• Should be able to analyze and understand complex data
• Good experience in writing complex SQL queries, Analytical functions, Joins, Indexes, functions, and stored procedures.
• Understanding of data lineage and good in building such frameworks
• Works closely with all business units and engineering teams to develop strategy for long term data platform architecture
• Experience in various data cleansing techniques
• Understand business requirement and actively provide inputs from Data perspective
• Understand the underlying data and flow of data
