Job summary

Kyndryl is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design and manage enterprise data platforms, ETL/ELT pipelines, and regulatory reporting solutions in a Banking/Financial Services context. You will work hands-on with Oracle, ODI, DataIKU, and Python to deliver robust data solutions.

Based in Chennai, this full-time role involves collaborating with Risk, Finance, Compliance, and Technology teams to ensure data quality, governance, and audit-ready reporting across global operations.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in Data Engineering and Data Warehousing within Banking and Financial Services.
• Strong expertise in Oracle, SQL/PLSQL, ODI, SAP BODS, and DataIKU.
• Hands‑on experience in ETL/ELT development, data integration, data modeling, and data quality management.
• Proven experience supporting Risk & Regulatory Reporting and Financial Reporting platforms.
• Sound understanding of RFO Master & Satellite Frameworks, Risk Data Management, and Data Governance.
• Experience in production support, incident management, and data operations in a global environment.
• Proficient in Python, Shell Scripting, Unix/Linux, TWS, and Oracle Database.

• Build and support ETL/ELT workflows using ODI, Data IKU, and related technologies.
• Develop and optimize data pipelines for ingestion, transformation, validation, and reporting.
• Ensure data quality, governance, lineage, reconciliation, and compliance across data ecosystems.
• Design and tune Oracle database solutions, including SQL/PLSQL procedures, packages, and performance optimization.
• Support and enhance enterprise data warehouse solutions, including RFO Master and Satellite data models.
• Provide L2/L3 production support, perform root cause analysis, and resolve data platform incidents.
• Develop automation solutions using Python and Shell scripting to improve operational efficiency and monitoring.
• Collaborate with Business, Risk, Finance, Compliance, and Technology teams to deliver data-driven solutions.
• Support risk and regulatory reporting platforms by ensuring accurate, complete, and audit‑ready reporting data.

The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer with extensive experience in enterprise data platforms, ETL development, data warehousing, regulatory reporting, and risk data management. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise End to End Pipeline building, ETL/ELT, Python, SQL/PLSQL, Business Object, ODI, TWS, Oracle, and financial reporting frameworks, with hands‑on experience supporting Risk and Regulatory Reporting solutions within Banking and Financial Services environments.
