Job summary

Amazon is hiring a Data Engineer in Hyderabad to join the APS data team. You will design and build scalable data pipelines, work with SQL-based warehousing, and collaborate with product and analytics teams to drive reliable data for payments.

The role focuses on data requests, operational excellence, and expanding core infrastructure with modern big data tools such as Hadoop, Hive, Spark, and EMR. 1+ year experience preferred; strong SQL and scripting skills are required.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of data engineering experience.
• Experience with SQL.
• Experience with data modeling, warehousing and ETL pipelines.
• Experience with one or more query language (e.g., SQL, PL/SQL, DDL, MDX, HiveQL, SparkSQL, Scala).
• Experience with one or more scripting language (e.g., Python, KornShell).

Basic Qualifications

• 1+ years of data engineering experience
• Experience with SQL
• Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines
• Experience with one or more query language (e.g., SQL, PL/SQL, DDL, MDX, HiveQL, SparkSQL, Scala)
• Experience with one or more scripting language (e.g., Python, KornShell)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with big data technologies such as: Hadoop, Hive, Spark, EMR
• Experience with any ETL tool like, Informatica, ODI, SSIS, BODI, Datastage, etc.
