Job summary

NTT DATA seeks a Data Engineer Advisor in Bangalore, Karnataka to design and implement scalable SQL Server data models for SSAS monitoring, with advanced T-SQL, ETL, and data lineage. The role involves SSDT/DACPAC deployment, Git-based versioning, and delivering validated deployments and documentation.

Remote/hybrid options may apply based on client needs. The candidate will ensure historical trending, data quality, and Power BI integration while collaborating with ICBCS support teams

Qualifications

• Experience with dimensional, event, snapshot, and time-series modelling.
• Proficient in SQL Server and T-SQL development.
• Knowledge of SSAS Multidimensional concepts and DMVs.
• Ability to design and maintain data pipelines, data lineage and reconciliation.
• Experience with Power BI serving structures and data models.

• Perform source-to-metric traceability and define metric lineage.
• Define subject areas, dataset grains, entities, relationships, and conformed dimensions.
• Design logical and physical models across raw, staging, curated, dimension, fact and serving layers.
• Design snapshots, effective dating, SCD history, indexing and partitioning.
• Implement the SSDT database project, schemas, tables, facts, dimensions, and views.
• Develop ETL/ELT processes, log parsing, event correlation, and SQL Agent jobs.
• Implement configurable threshold, baseline, collection, and routing structures.
• Perform developer unit testing for schemas, data flows, SCD processing, and deployment.

SQL Server Data Engineer

Design and implement a scalable, time-series SQL Server data model for SSAS monitoring. Translate SSAS health, processing, workload, dimension growth, DMV, Extended Events, threshold, and derived metric requirements into appropriate tables, facts, snapshots, configurations, and reporting views. Develop advanced T- SQL procedures, transformations, event correlation, incremental loads, audit controls, exception handling, restart ability, and performance optimization. Ensure accurate historical trending, datetime filtering, data lineage, reconciliation, and Power BI integration. Maintain all database objects using SSDT and Git, produce validated DACPAC deployment packages, and support testing, controlled deployment, rollback, production validation, technical documentation, and knowledge transfer to ICBCS support teams after deployment.

• Strong conceptual, logical, and physical data-modelling experience
• Dimensional, event, snapshot, and time-series modelling
• Advanced SQL Server and T- SQL development
• CTEs, window functions, complex joins, stored procedures, views, indexing, and execution-plan analysis
• SCD1/SCD2, surrogate keys, effective dating, facts, and conformed dimensions
• SSAS Multidimensional concepts, DMVs, Extended Events, cubes, dimensions, measure groups, and partitions
• Event pairing, log parsing, metric derivation, and processing-duration calculation
• Incremental loading, watermarking, idempotency, restartability, and duplicate prevention
• Data lineage, reconciliation, audit, retention, and exception handling
• Baseline, threshold, severity, and RAG modelling
• Power BI-serving data structures
• SSDT, Git, DACPAC, database deployment, and rollback
• Clear technical documentation and stakeholder communication
