Job summary

Rotork is seeking a Data Migration Specialist to drive large-scale data transformation, migration planning, and governance across cloud platforms. You will design automated ETL workflows, profile and cleanse data, and ensure integrity while collaborating with engineering and product teams.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years in data engineering, strong SQL, and experience with Azure-based ETL tools, with a focus on scalable migration strategies and data quality frameworks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in CS/IS/Data Engineering or related field.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

• Proficiency in ETL tools and frameworks (Informatica, Talend, Azure Data Factory).

Responsibilities

• Analyze source and target systems to develop migration strategies.
• Develop automated scripts and workflows for repeatable, auditable ETL migrations using Azure Data Factory or Synapse.
• Monitor and troubleshoot data migration jobs and resolve issues promptly.
• Perform data profiling, cleansing, validation, and reconciliation during migrations.
• Apply strong process orientation and relate information systems to product management lifecycles.
• Collaborate effectively with adjacent functions.
• Be pragmatic, solutions-driven, and able to communicate complex topics.

The Data Migration specialist role supports the Data Management function along with enterprise data transformation initiatives. This role is responsible for developing and executing data migration tasks, ensuring data integrity, and supporting the ongoing management of enterprise data assets. The ideal candidate will have experience working with large-scale data systems, legacy-to-modern platform migrations, and data governance frameworks

• Strong process orientation. Very familiar with core product management lifecycle and engineering systems processes, how they are reflected in core information systems
• Collaborative and works very well with adjacent functions

• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and modern data architectures (e.g., data lakes, lakehouses)
• Familiarity with data governance, data quality, and MDM
• 3 years experience with D365, AX09, AX12, BlueStar
• 2 years experience with Engineering Data and BOM’s
