Job summary

Miba Engineering Center in Pune, Maharashtra, is seeking a Data Engineer with 3–4 years of relevant experience and strong Azure knowledge. You will design and optimize data pipelines using Databricks, PySpark, SQL, and Azure Data Factory.

The role requires good communication, experience with Azure Data Lake, Synapse, and storage services, and familiarity with BI/analytics tools. You’ll collaborate with teams to deliver scalable data solutions and support cloud-based data warehousing initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or equivalent degree in Computer Science, IT, electronics and communications.
• 3–4 years of professional Data Engineering experience with Azure cloud.
• 3+ years in Databricks, PySpark and SQL.
• Experience with SQL stored procedures, views and functions, SAP OData.
• Experience with Azure Data Lake, Synapse, Data Factory, SQL Data Warehouse, Blob Storage.
• Proficient in creating Data Factory pipelines for on-cloud ETL processing.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Job description

Must Have

• Bachelors or equivalent degree in Computer Science, IT, electronics and communications
• Minimum 3-4 years of professional experience in relevant Data Engineering field and knowledge of cloud platform i.e., Azure.
• Minimum 3 years of strong experience in Databricks, pyspark and SQL.
• Experience into SQL stored procedures, Views, functions, SAP ODATA etc.
• Experience with Azure Data Lake, Azure Synapse, Azure Data Factory, SQL Data Warehouse, Azure Blob, Azure Storage Explorer
• Proficient in creating Data Factory pipelines for on-cloud ETL processing; copy activity, custom Azure development etc.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.

Good To Have

• Good to have knowledge of BI related technologies i.e. PowerBI, SSRS.
• Knowledge of Machine Learning models in Databricks.
• Knowledge or experience in row level security, GIT, CI/CD.
• Experience with or knowledge of Agile Software Development methodologies.
