Job summary

Cisco Systems (India) Private Limited is seeking a Data Engineer to design and optimize modern data and AI solutions. You will build Snowflake and dbt pipelines, implement advanced SQL and Python-based data flows, and work with LLMs, RAG, and AI Agents to deliver scalable enterprise platforms.

Collaborate with architects and business stakeholders to modernize data platforms, ensure data quality and governance, and deploy production-ready solutions across Cloud environments (AWS/Azure/GCP).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer science, Data Science, AI, Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years in data engineering, solution architecture, or enterprise app development, incl. 2+ years in AI/ML or Generative AI solutions.
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake, dbt, advanced SQL, and Python for enterprise data pipelines and integrations.
• Experience with LLMs, Generative AI, RAG, or AI Agents, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Experience delivering enterprise-scale integrations and modernization initiatives, incl. APIs, SAP HANA, SIT, data validation, and production deployment.

Your Impact

Join our team as a Data Engineer focused on modern data and AI solutions. This role offers the opportunity to work on high-impact platform modernization and AI initiatives from design through production. Build and optimize Snowflake and dbt data pipelines using advanced SQL and Python. Design and integrate enterprise data engineering and AI solutions, including LLM, RAG, and AI Agent use cases. Develop and manage complex system integrations and Control-M workflows across enterprise platforms. Partner with architects, engineers, and business stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable, and production-ready solutions. Contribute to platform modernization, data quality, automation, and AI innovation across the enterprise.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 3+ years of experience in data engineering, solution architecture, or enterprise application development, including 2+ years delivering AI/ML or Generative AI solutions.
• Hands-on experience developing data solutions using Snowflake, dbt, advanced SQL, and Python, including enterprise data pipelines and integrations.
• Experience with LLMs, Generative AI, RAG, or AI Agents, with exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Experience delivering enterprise-scale integrations and modernization initiatives, including APIs, Control-M, SAP HANA, SIT, data validation, and production deployment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience implementing Agentic AI, AI copilots, intelligent automation, or enterprise knowledge assistants using LangChain, LangGraph, Semantic Kernel, or similar frameworks.
• Experience with enterprise data platforms including Snowflake, Databricks, dbt, Spark, vector databases, and data governance frameworks.
• Strong understanding of Responsible AI, AI security, governance, model evaluation, and enterprise compliance considerations.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate with technical and business leaders across cross-functional teams.
• Demonstrated innovation, continuous learning, and mentoring with the ability to drive AI solutions from proof of concept through production and enterprise adoption.
