Job summary

Incedo Inc. is seeking a seasoned data platform engineer with deep expertise in Python and SQL, plus extensive hands-on work on AWS Cloud Data Platform. The role requires familiarity with AWS services such as S3, EC2, Lambda, and Glue, as well as Snowflake, Databricks, and DBT for data analytics.

Terraform is used for IaC, and GitLab CI/CD pipelines are part of deployment automation. The ideal candidate will contribute to a hybrid data architecture combining on‑premises and cloud data systems,

Qualifications

• 6+ years of Python experience.
• 6+ years of SQL experience.
• 6+ years’ experience with AWS Cloud Data Platform.

Job description

The candidate must demonstrate proficiency in,

• Minimum 6 years' experience with Python
• Minimum 6 years' experience with SQL
• Minimum of 6 years’ experience working with AWS Cloud Data Platform
• Experience with the following AWS Services ECR, S3, EC2, VPC, Route 53, Lambda, API Gateway, AWS Glue, Event Bridge, Cloud Watch, IAM, RDS, Back up Services, Systems Manager.
• Familiarity with tools like Databricks, Snowflake, or AWS Redshift Spectrum.
• 2+ years of experience in Snowflake & DBT
• Implementation and management of cloud infrastructure using IaC tools (Terraform scripting)
• Participate in business process analysis, use case creation, and requirements definition.
• Familiarity with writing GitLab CI/CD pipelines and creating deployment automations.
• AWS Certified Data Analytics or Solutions Architect certification preferred.
• Experience with hybrid data architecture combining on-premises and cloud data systems.

Nice-to-have skills

• Motivated self-starter team player who is organized and methodical
• Good database skills in either SQL Server or Oracle
• Good data analysis and presentation skills
• Performance tuning of queries and report calculations
• Knowledge of best practice architectures: Periodic out of hours’ support is part of your responsibility, particularly around software releases, major infrastructure changes and support calls
