Job summary

Ciel HR is seeking an experienced Data Engineer in Bengaluru to design and build scalable ETL/ELT pipelines. The role requires hands-on work with DBT and Apache Airflow to develop DAGs, monitor workflows, and ensure reliable data movement across cloud warehouses.

You will leverage Python and SQL for data processing, partner with analytics teams, and implement data modeling using Star Schema. Familiarity with Snowflake, Redshift, or BigQuery and Git-based version control is essential; experience

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering.
• Proficiency with DBT and Airflow for ETL pipelines.
• Strong Python and SQL for data processing and query optimization.
• Experience with Snowflake/Redshift/BigQuery or similar warehouses.

Mandatory Skills

• 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience withDBT (Data Build Tool).
• Strong experience withApache Airflowincluding DAG development, scheduling, monitoring, and workflow orchestration.
• Proficiency inPythonfor ETL development, automation, and data processing.
• Strong SQL skills with experience in writing complex queries and performance tuning.
• Experience developing and supporting enterprise-scale ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Experience withSnowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, or other cloud data warehouses
• Knowledge of data modeling concepts including Star Schema and Dimensional Modeling.
• Experience with Git-based version control systems.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with AWS services such as S3, Glue, Lambda, or EMR.
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Familiarity with data quality, governance, and observability frameworks.
