Job summary

Prasa is looking for an experienced Data Center Solution Architect to lead end-to-end technical solutions for hyperscale, colocation, enterprise, and mission-critical data centers. The role focuses on concept design, pre-sales, solution architecture, customer engagement and multidisciplinary coordination.

The candidate will develop and review design basis, layouts and technical proposals, ensuring redundancy and reliability across electrical, mechanical, civil, architectural, fire, BMS/EPMS,

Qualifications

• 8–12+ years of experience in data center engineering.
• B.E./B.Tech/M.Tech in Electrical/Mechanical engineering.
• Willingness to travel to project sites.

Responsibilities

• Develop end-to-end data center solutions based on IT load, rack density, availability, scalability, budget and timelines.
• Lead concept design and define electrical, mechanical, civil, structural, architectural, fire, BMS/EPMS, DCIM, security and ICT/ELV requirements.
• Develop and review Basis of Design, concept layouts, block diagrams, SLDs, PIDs and technical proposals.
• Define redundancy and reliability philosophies (N, N+1, N+2 and 2N).
• Develop capacity and phasing strategies for MW-scale data centers.
• Support high-density and AI data center solutions, including liquid cooling and advanced power distribution.
• Review RFPs/RFQs, customer requirements and tender documents.
• Work with Sales, Estimation, Engineering, Procurement and Project teams.
• Evaluate OEM technologies, CAPEX, OPEX, energy efficiency, scalability and lifecycle costs.
• Lead customer presentations, technical discussions, design reviews and solution-defense meetings.
• Identify risks, scope gaps and single points of failure and recommend solutions.
• Ensure smooth handover from pre-sales/solution stage to project execution.

Job Summary

Requirements

• Experience: 8 12+ years


• Qualification: B.E./B.Tech/M.Tech in Electrical, Mechanical or related Engineering


• Travel Requirement: Willingness to travel to project sites as required

Key Responsibilities

• Develop end-to-end data center solutions based on IT load, rack density, availability, scalability, budget and timelines.


• Lead concept design and define electrical, mechanical, civil, structural, architectural, fire, BMS/EPMS, DCIM, security and ICT/ELV requirements.

Required Skills

• Strong understanding of data center electrical and mechanical infrastructure.


• Experience in solution architecture, concept design and pre-sales engineering.


• Good knowledge of data center redundancy, reliability, capacity planning and commissioning.


• Exposure to high-density/AI data centers and liquid cooling is an advantage.


• Knowledge of Uptime/Tier, TIA-942, ASHRAE, IEC, IEEE, NFPA, NEC and IS standards.


• Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, ETAP, MS Excel and PowerPoint.


• Strong customer-facing, presentation, leadership and problem-solving skills.


• Ability to balance technical requirements, CAPEX, timelines and commercial objectives.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with hyperscale, colocation, cloud or mission-critical data centers.


• Experience with data center developers/operators, EPC companies, consultants, OEMs or solution providers.


• Proven experience handling large MW-scale data center projects.
