Job summary

Blue Cloud is seeking an experienced Data Architect to lead the design, modernization, and optimization of enterprise-scale data platforms with a focus on Snowflake. This client-facing role blends strategic architecture with hands-on execution and leadership to deliver secure, scalable data solutions.

You will collaborate with stakeholders to define current and target architectures, design scalable models, and guide modernization roadmaps across ingestion, storage, governance, and analytics.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in data architecture or related senior technical roles.
• Strong Snowflake design, implementation, and optimization experience.
• Hands-on experience with data modeling, lakehouse patterns, and AI-ready data architectures.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and modern data tooling.
• Excellent client-facing communication and architecture leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture and modernization of enterprise Snowflake data platform.
• Define current-state and target-state architectures for ingestion, transformation, storage, governance, security, and analytics.
• Design scalable data models and AI-ready data architectures.
• Develop modernization roadmaps based on business impact and cost optimization.
• Architect solutions using Snowflake, Snowpark, Dynamic Tables, Streams, and SQL-driven pipelines.
• Design lakehouse and real-time data architectures across cloud providers.
• Establish data governance, security, lineage, observability, and performance best practices.
• Lead workshops and roadmap discussions; mentor cross-functional teams.
