Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience designing enterprise-scale data platforms on Azure.
• Strong SQL/ETL development with SSIS/SSRS.
• Experience with real-time or near-real-time streaming.
• Ability to lead technical discussions and mentor teammates.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and optimization of SSIS packages, SQL Server procedures, queries, data models and ETL workflows.
• Migrate/modernize legacy SSIS/SQL solutions to Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL, Synapse and related services.
• Design real-time streaming pipelines with Azure streaming services ensuring performance and fault tolerance.
• Provide technical leadership, review designs and promote best practices across the team.
• Collaborate with analysts and product owners to translate business needs into scalable data solutions.
• Own production issue resolution and drive continuous improvement in data platforms.

Job Description

SUMMARY OF POSITION AND OBJECTIVES:

We are looking for a strong Data Architect with deep expertise in SSIS, SQL Server, Azure modernization, and real-time data streaming. The role will be responsible for leading data engineering initiatives, modernizing legacy ETL platforms, and designing scalable cloud-native data solutions.

• Lead the design, development, and optimization of SSIS packages, SQL Server stored procedures, complex queries, data models, and ETL workflows for enterprise-scale applications.
• Drive modernization of legacy data platforms by migrating or re-engineering SSIS/SQL-based solutions to Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL, Synapse, Databricks, Event Hubs, and related Azure services.
• Architect and implement real-time and near-real-time streaming data pipelines using Azure streaming technologies, ensuring high performance, reliability, monitoring, and fault tolerance.
• Provide technical leadership to the development team by reviewing designs, guiding implementation, enforcing best practices, and ensuring code quality, performance, scalability, and maintainability.
• Collaborate with business analysts, architects, product owners, and cross-functional teams to understand requirements, estimate effort, plan delivery, and translate business needs into robust technical solutions.
• Own technical problem-solving for production issues, performance bottlenecks, data quality challenges, and platform modernization risks, while mentoring team members and supporting continuous improvement.
