Job summary

Evnek Technologies Pvt Ltd is seeking an experienced Data Architect with 10-15 years of experience to design and deliver scalable enterprise data platforms in Bengaluru. You will lead data architecture, govern data practices, and steer teams in Snowflake-based solutions and end-to-end data pipelines.

The role requires hands-on Snowflake, DBT, and Apache Airflow expertise, with strong leadership and communication skills to collaborate with AI/ML teams and senior stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 10-15 years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Architecture, Big Data, or related areas.
• Strong experience as a Data Architect / Lead Data Engineer / Solution Architect.
• Hands-on Snowflake architecture and implementation expertise.
• Proficiency with DBT for data transformation and modeling.
• Experience with Apache Airflow for workflow orchestration.
• Knowledge of Data Lakes/W warehouses/Lakehouse architectures.
• Understanding of AI/ML and Generative AI data requirements.

Responsibilities

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Data Architect with 10-15 years of experience in designing and delivering scalable enterprise data platforms. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on expertise in Snowflake, DBT, Apache Airflow, Big Data technologies, and AI/ML-driven data solutions , along with proven managerial and team leadership experience . The candidate will be responsible for defining data architecture, designing modern cloud data platforms, establishing data engineering best practices, and leading technical teams to successfully deliver complex data initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and drive the overall enterprise data architecture and data platform strategy.
• Design scalable, secure, and high-performance data solutions using Snowflake.
• Architect and oversee ETL/ELT pipelines using DBT and Apache Airflow.
• Design solutions for processing and managing large- scale structured, semi-structured, and unstructured datasets.
• Provide architectural guidance for Big Data, Data Lake, Data Warehouse, and Lakehouse implementations.
• Design data platforms capable of supporting AI/ML, Generative AI, and advanced analytics use cases.
• Collaborate with AI/ML teams to ensure reliable, scalable, and governed data availability for model development and deployment.
• Establish standards and best practices for data modeling, data quality, data governance, security, lineage, and metadata management.
• Optimize Snowflake architecture for performance, scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency.
• Evaluate new data and AI technologies and recommend appropriate solutions based on business requirements.
• Work closely with business stakeholders, engineering teams, product teams, and senior leadership to translate business requirements into technical architecture.
• Lead architecture reviews, technical discussions, solution design, and implementation planning.
• Manage and mentor Data Engineers, Technical Leads, and Architects.
• Handle resource planning, task allocation, delivery tracking, risk management, and technical escalations.
• Provide technical and managerial leadership across multiple data initiatives.
• Ensure projects are delivered within agreed timelines while maintaining architecture and quality standards.

Mandatory Skills

• 10-15 years of overall experience in Data Engineering, Data Architecture, Big Data, or related areas.
• Strong experience as a Data Architect / Solution Architect / Lead Data Engineer.
• Extensive hands-on experience with Snowflake architecture and implementation.
• Strong expertise in DBT for data transformation and modeling.
• Strong experience with Apache Airflow for workflow orchestration.
• Strong knowledge of Big Data technologies and distributed data processing.
• Experience designing Data Warehouses, Data Lakes, and/or Lakehouse architectures.
• Strong understanding of ETL/ELT architecture and complex data pipelines.
• Experience with dimensional modeling and enterprise data modeling.
• Good understanding of AI/ML and Generative AI data architecture and the data requirements for AI-based applications.
• Strong knowledge of data governance, security, data quality, and performance optimization.
• Proven experience in team management, technical leadership, and stakeholder management.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience with technologies such as Spark, Databricks, Kafka, Hadoop, or PySpark .
• Understanding of LLMs, Generative AI, RAG, vector databases, and AI/ML data pipelines would be an advantage.
• Experience with CI/CD and DevOps practices for data platforms.
• Experience working with enterprise-scale and high-volume data environments.
