Job summary

HSBC in Hyderabad, India seeks a Senior Associate Director, Data and Analytics to drive the design and delivery of AI-enabled IT systems. You will lead architecture decisions, set engineering standards, and mentor teams to build secure, scalable solutions in a regulated financial environment.

You will partner with senior management to ensure technology choices support business goals, oversee security/compliance, and continuously explore new capabilities to enhance services and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Experience as a senior/lead/principal engineer, including AI systems.

• Set the technical standards and best methods for engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Wide experience working as a senior, lead, or principal software engineer, including experience building AI systems.

• Deep knowledge of modern software development, cloud computing, and system design.
• Proven ability to lead technical projects and guide engineering teams.
• Strong problem-solving skills to handle complex, system-wide challenges.
• Clear communication skills to explain technical and AI ideas to both technical and non-technical staff.
• Experience working in a strictly regulated environment with strong security rules.
• A hands‑on approach — comfortable reviewing code, testing AI tools, and leading by example.
