Role Overview

TCS is seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst to join its dynamic retail analytics team in Gandhinagar, Gujarat. Key Responsibilities

As a Data Analyst at TCS, you will be responsible for:

1. Market Research Data Processing

• Writing and maintaining the Quantum tabulation program scripts for survey data.
• Developing and executing data edits in SPSS, ensuring accuracy and consistency in datasets.
• Performing statistical analysis using SPSS to generate meaningful insights for client projects.

2. Data Transformation and Format Management

• Working efficiently with various data formats, including ASCII, SPSS, Excel, Dimensions, and other market research data structures.
• Managing and interpreting response-level datasets, applying weights, running calculations, and performing required data edits.

3. Logical Data Interpretation

• Building logical conditions to clean, categorize, and analyse raw data.
• Applying robust analytical methods to identify trends, patterns, and business insights.
• Ensuring error‑free reporting by validating data outputs and cross‑verifying calculations.

4. Cross‑Functional Collaboration

• Working with project managers, research teams, and analytics specialists to deliver timely and accurate data processing outputs.
• Communicating findings and issues transparently, showcasing strong written and verbal communication skills.

5. Continuous Improvement

• Demonstrating fast‑learning capabilities to adapt to evolving tools, frameworks, and client needs.

Required Qualifications & Skills

To succeed in this role, the candidate must meet the following criteria:

Educational Requirements

• Minimum 15 years of regular, full‑time education (10 + 2 + 3 pattern).
• Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, Data Science, or related fields.

Technical Skills

• Minimum 3+ years of experience with Quantum or Quantum GIS tools.
• At least 2+ years of hands‑on experience with Dimensions for survey data processing.
• Strong command over SPSS, including scripting, data edits, crosstabs, and statistical analysis.
• Ability to handle complex data transformations across multiple formats (ASCII, Excel, SPSS, etc.).

Core Competencies

• Excellent logical reasoning and analytical mindset.

• Strong command of written and spoken English.
