Job summary

Jainco Transmission Limited in Howrah/Kolkata is seeking a Data Analyst to collect, clean, validate, and analyze data from multiple sources. You will develop daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports and dashboards using Google Sheets.

You will automate reporting with Google Apps Script and build Java-based data processing tools, integrating databases and APIs while ensuring data quality and insightful KPIs for management.

Qualifications

• Data analysis, cleaning, and validation of large datasets.
• MIS reporting and KPI analysis for operational performance.
• Strong skills in Google Sheets and data visualization.
• Experience with SQL for data extraction and integration.
• Exposure to automation using Google Apps Script and Java-based tools.

Responsibilities

• Collect, clean, validate, and analyze data from multiple sources.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports and dashboards.
• Develop and maintain Google Sheets for data tracking, reporting, reconciliation, and dashboards.
• Use advanced Google Sheets functions such as QUERY, FILTER, VLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH, ARRAYFORMULA, SUMIFS, COUNTIFS, and Pivot Tables.
• Automate repetitive reporting and data-processing activities using Google Apps Script.
• Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot Java-based applications and data-processing programs.
• Write Java programs for data extraction, transformation, validation, automation, and report generation.
• Integrate data from databases, APIs, spreadsheets, and other business systems.
• Perform data quality checks, identify inconsistencies, and resolve data-related issues.
• Analyze trends, variances, KPIs, and operational performance and provide insights to management.
• Create automated workflows between Java applications, Google Sheets, databases, and other tools.
• Maintain data accuracy, security, and proper documentation.
• Prepare ad-hoc reports based on management requirements.
• Coordinate with IT, Finance, HR, Operations, and Sales to gather requirements.
• Troubleshoot reporting and data-related issues and provide timely solutions.
