Job summary

The Algebra Group in Delhi is seeking a Data Analyst to build and maintain dashboards and reports that drive decisions. You will extract and clean data from multiple sources to ensure accuracy and consistency, analyzing trends and metrics to deliver actionable insights.

You'll collaborate with Finance, Tech, and Operations to translate requirements into analytics solutions, maintain data quality standards, and document processes to support scale and performance.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in data analysis or BI, preferably in finance, ecommerce, or SaaS.
• Basic understanding of financial reporting, KPIs, and data's role in decision-making.
• Strong written and verbal communication to present insights and collaborate with teams.
• Proficiency in SQL and Excel/Google Sheets for data tracking and querying.
• Experience building dashboards with Power BI or Tableau.

Responsibilities

• Build real-time dashboards and automated reports using Power BI, Google Sheets, and other BI tools.
• Support data extraction, transformation, and integration from platforms like QuickBooks, Shopify, Stripe, GHL, and Google Analytics.
• Collaborate with senior data engineers and CFOs to translate business requirements into analytics outputs.
• Maintain and organize data repositories ensuring accuracy and accessibility across internal tools and client-facing platforms.
• QA and troubleshooting of dashboards and automations to ensure data accuracy and performance.
• Monitor recurring workflows and alerts to communicate financial and operational updates.
• Create and standardize reusable templates, reporting logic, and documentation.
• Communicate with Finance, Tech, and Operations to improve data pipelines and reporting.

Requirements

The ideal candidate should have:

• Minimum 1 year of experience in data analysis or business intelligence, preferably in a finance, eCommerce, or SaaS-related environment.
• Basic understanding of financial reporting , KPIs, and the role of data in business decision-making.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for presenting insights, reporting findings, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency in MS Excel/Google Sheets (for data tracking), SQL (for querying databases), and Power BI or Tableau (for dashboarding).
• Analytical mindset with high attention to detail, especially when handling large datasets, identifying trends, and troubleshooting data issues.
• A bachelor’s degree or ongoing studies in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Finance, or a related field.

Responsibilities

The Data Analyst would be a key player in TAG’s growth story, leading the vision from the front with the following roles:

• Assist in building real-time dashboards and automated reports using Power BI, Google Sheets, and other BI tools, helping teams make faster and smarter financial decisions.
• Support data extraction, transformation, and integration from various platforms like QuickBooks, Shopify, Stripe, GHL, and Google Analytics.
• Collaborate closely with senior data engineers and CFOs to translate business requirements into functional analytics and reporting outputs.
• Maintain and organize data repositories, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and accessibility across internal tools and client-facing platforms.
• Participate in QA and troubleshooting of dashboards and automations to ensure data accuracy and performance across all visualizations.
• Monitor recurring workflows and alerts, helping ensure critical financial and operational updates reach the right stakeholders on time.
• Contribute to the creation and standardization of reusable templates, reporting logic, and documentation to support scalability across clients.
• Communicate regularly with cross-functional teams (Finance, Tech, and Operations) to understand priorities and continuously improve data pipelines and reporting processes.
