Job summary

Haleon is seeking a Cyber Cloud, Data and AI SME Engineer to design, implement, and optimize cybersecurity solutions for cloud, data, and AI environments. This senior engineering role collaborates with architecture and delivery teams to translate designs into robust, secure systems.

You will lead deployments, provide day-to-day BAU support, mentor junior engineers, and drive automation initiatives. Candidates should have CISSP or CISM and 5+ years in cloud/data/AI security, plus strong Azure

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience).
• 8 years in IT, with at least 5 years of hands-on engineering experience in cloud, data, or AI security.
• CISSP or CISM (or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Act as the subject matter expert for the design, build, configuration, integration, and optimisation of cybersecurity solutions for cloud, data, and AI environments.
• Lead the technical implementation and deployment of new cloud, data, and AI security capabilities and enhancements.
• Provide expert engineering support for the day-to-day BAU operations, maintenance, troubleshooting, and performance tuning of cloud security, data protection, and AI security platforms.
• Collaborate with the Cyber Cloud, Data and AI Product Manager, Solution Architects, and delivery teams to ensure solutions are implemented effectively and meet business and security requirements.
• Develop and maintain technical standards, configuration baselines, automation scripts, and operational procedures for cloud, data, and AI security systems.
• Support incident response and problem management activities related to cloud, data, and AI environments, including root cause analysis and permanent fixes.
• Mentor andprovide technical guidance to junior engineers and team members on cloud, data, and AI security technologies.
• Monitor system performance, availability, and capacity, and drive continuous improvement and automation initiatives.
• Contribute to the evaluation andselectionof new tools or enhancements within the cloud, data, and AI security domain.

About The Role

TheCyber Cloud, Data and AI SME Engineerisa senior technical engineering role responsible for the expert design, implementation, optimisation, and ongoing support of the organisation’s cybersecurity solutions for cloud, data, and AI environments. This position provides deep technicalexpertiseto ensure the effective delivery, integration, and BAU operation of cloud security, data protection, and AI security capabilities. The role reports to the Cyber Cloud, Data and AI Product Manager and works closely with architecture and engineering teams to translate solution designs into robust, secure, and maintainable systems.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience).

Preferred Qualifications

• Deep hands-onexpertisewith cloud security platforms (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS), data protection and privacy technologies, AI/ML security controls, and secure AI development pipelines.
• Strong experience with Microsoft Azure security tooling and cloud-native security solutions.
• Proventrack recordin implementing and supporting complex cloud, data, and AI security solutions in large-scale, hybrid, or multi-cloud environments.
• Experience with scripting and automation (PowerShell, Python, Terraform, REST APIs, etc.).
• Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards (e.g., GDPR, NIS Regulations, ISO 27001,SOx, CSA CCM).
