Job summary

Orchids The International School in Langar Houz, Hyderabad, seeks a passionate Dance Teacher to train students in classical, western, contemporary, and folk forms, building confidence, coordination, and stage presence.

You will design engaging lessons, choreograph performances for annual day and events, ensure a safe, energetic classroom, and collaborate with teachers to foster creativity and teamwork across grade levels.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Dance/Performing Arts required or preferred.
• Professional dance training or certification is advantageous.
• Experience in teaching or choreography is a plus.

About the Role

Orchids The International School is looking for an enthusiastic and creative Dance Teacher to train and inspire students through various dance forms and performance-based learning. The ideal candidate should be passionate about choreography, student engagement, and cultural activities while helping students build confidence, coordination, and stage presence.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct dance classes for students across different grade levels
• Teach and train students in various dance forms (Classical, Western, Contemporary, Folk, etc.)
• Choreograph performances for annual day, assemblies, competitions, and cultural events
• Encourage creativity, teamwork, and self-expression among students
• Maintain discipline and ensure a fun, energetic classroom environment
• Identify and nurture talented students for competitions and performances
• Coordinate with teachers and event teams for school functions and activities
• Ensure student safety during practice sessions and performances

Eligibility Criteria

• Bachelors Degree/Diploma in Dance or Performing Arts
• Professional training or certification in dance preferred
• Prior teaching or choreography experience is an added advantage
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Passion for teaching and mentoring students
