Dar is seeking a senior hydraulic engineer in Pune District, Maharashtra to lead hydraulic modeling and dam design projects. You will drive 1D/2D/3D analyses, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and ensure compliance with international dam standards.

The role requires 5–15 years of relevant experience, strong software skills (HEC-RAS, Flow-3D, AutoCAD), and proven leadership abilities to mentor junior engineers and manage client engagements.

Qualifications

• 5–15 years of progressive experience in hydraulic analysis and design focusing on water infrastructure, barrages, or hydroelectric/dam projects.
• Mastery of industry-standard modeling software such as HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, Flow-3D, Civil 3D and AutoCAD.
• Deep understanding of dam engineering guidelines and standards (e.g., ICOLD, USBR, FERC, or regional equivalents).
• Strong foundation in open-channel hydraulics and hydrology.
• Exceptional technical writing and presentation skills for client meetings.

Responsabilités

• Hydraulic Modeling & Analysis: Conduct advanced 1D, 2D, and 3D hydraulic modeling to simulate flow dynamics, flood routing, and reservoir operations.
• Hydraulic Design of dam structures: Lead the design of spillways, stilling basins, intake/outlet works including hydropower intakes, tunnels, and diversion schemes and channels.
• Dam Safety & Risk Assessment: Perform dam break analysis, hydraulic capacity assessments and contribute to PFMA and dam safety evaluations.
• Cross-Discipline Coordination: Work with geotechnical, structural, and environmental teams to integrate hydraulic requirements into the broader dam design.
• Project & Team Leadership: Manage project scope, schedules, and budgets. Mentor junior engineers and review technical specifications, drawings, and reports.

• Hydraulic Design of different dam structures: Lead the design of complex hydraulic appurtenances including spillways, stilling basins, intake/outlet works including hydropower intakes, tunnels, and diversion schemes and channels.
• Dam Safety & Risk Assessment: Perform dam break analysis, hydraulic capacity assessments and contribute to Potential Failure Mode Analyses (PFMA) and dam safety evaluations.
• Cross-Discipline Coordination: Work seamlessly with geotechnical, structural, and environmental engineering teams to integrate hydraulic requirements into the broader dam design.
• Project & Team Leadership: Manage project scope, schedules, and budgets. Mentor junior engineers and review technical specifications, drawings, and reports.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Education: B.Tech in Civil Engineering and M.Tech. in Water Resources Engineering.
