Job summary

Opt IT in Pune is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer to monitor, protect, and improve the security of systems, networks, endpoints, and cloud environments.

You will monitor SIEM, EDR, antivirus, firewall, and security alerts; investigate incidents; conduct vulnerability scanning, patch tracking, and remediation; and support IAM controls across the environment.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in cybersecurity, information security, or SOC operations.
• Knowledge of Windows and Linux, networking, TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, and cloud security.
• Familiarity with Active Directory, MFA, IAM, and security frameworks.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor SIEM, EDR, antivirus, firewall, and security alerts.

• Conduct vulnerability scanning, patch tracking, and security remediation.

• Perform log analysis, threat monitoring, and security-tool tuning.
• Support security awareness, incident reporting and policy implementation.

Required Skills

• Knowledge of Python, PowerShell, or Bash scripting
