Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and analyze security alerts, logs and events to detect potential threats
• Respond to security incidents and conduct root cause analysis
• Assist in the implementation and maintenance of security tools (SIEM, firewalls, EDR, etc.)
• Perform vulnerability assessments and help remediate identified risks
• Ensure compliance with security policies, standards and regulatory frameworks
• Collaborate with IT and development teams to integrate secure coding and system hardening practices
• Support security awareness training and documentation efforts
• Stay current on emerging threats and recommend proactive defense strategies

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in cybersecurity, information security or IT security roles
• Strong knowledge of network security, endpoint protection, firewalls and IDS/IPS
• Hands-on experience with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar, Azure Sentinel)
• Familiarity with vulnerability scanners (Nessus, Qualys, etc.)
• Basic scripting knowledge (Python, PowerShell, Bash) is a plus
• Understanding of security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, CIS)
• Security certifications like CompTIA Security+, CEH or Microsoft SC-200 are a plus
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail and communication abilities
