Job summary

Maersk is seeking a Cyber Risk Platform Engineer to design, build and evolve tools for identifying, assessing and reporting cyber risk across a global logistics organization. You will work at the intersection of software engineering, cybersecurity and risk to create intuitive, data-driven products that empower teams to manage risk effectively.

The role emphasizes modern platforms, automation and AI-enabled workflows, with collaboration across Cyber Security and business units to deliver scalable

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience designing and building software products, applications or platforms.
  • Experience building modern web apps using React, Node.js and Postgres.
  • Experience with APIs and systems integration.
  • Cloud-native technologies and CI/CD/DevOps practices.
  • User-centric design mindset and strong stakeholder management.
  • Experience implementing AI technologies with LLMs or wrappers.
  • Familiarity with Azure, Terraform, Docker or Kubernetes is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build and operate software products and services for cyber risk management at global scale.
  • Create intuitive GRC workflows and integrations to improve UX and data quality.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies, including AI-enabled workflows and automation capabilities.
  • Act as SME for tooling with documentation and change management.
  • Collaborate with Cyber Security teams to support operations.
  • Contribute to long-term product vision, architecture and roadmap.
  • Build relationships with key teams across the business and vendors.
  • Drive continuous improvement in GRC processes and tooling.

Job Purpose / Summary

Are you passionate about building products that solve real-world cyber security and business problems? At Maersk, Cyber Risk is central to enabling secure and resilient global operations. We are transforming how cyber risk is managed, moving beyond traditional GRC tooling towards modern platforms, automation, data-driven decision making and AI-enabled workflows. As a Cyber Risk Platform Engineer, you will design, build and evolve the tools and services used to identify, assess, manage and report cyber risk across one of the world's largest logistics organisations. Working at the intersection of software engineering, cyber security and risk, you will help create intuitive products that simplify complex processes, improve decision-making and enable teams across Maersk to manage risk more effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, build and operate modern software products, workflows and services that enable cyber risk management at global scale.
  • Design and implement intuitive, user-centric GRC workflows and integrations which improve user experience, drive adoption, reduce friction and improve data quality.
  • Evaluate and integrate emerging technologies, including AI-enabled workflows and automation capabilities, to enhance cyber risk management processes.
  • Act as a technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) for tooling, including documentation and change management. Work closely with Cyber Security teams to understand their operations, processes and how we can better support operations.
  • Contribute to the long-term product vision, architecture and roadmap for cyber risk platforms and services.
  • Build effective relationships with key teams across the business and vendors.
  • Drive continuous improvement in GRC processes, tooling and ways of working
Required Experience & Skills:
Essential:
  • 3+ years of experience in designing and building software products, applications or platforms.
  • Experience developing modern web applications using technologies such as React, Node.js, Postgres and cloud-native services.
  • Experience with APIs and systems integration.
  • Web application development experience.
  • Experience with cloud-native technologies.
  • CI/CD and DevOps practices.
  • User-centric design mindset.
  • Experience implementing AI technologies, either directly with large language models (LLMs) or through LLM wrapper tools.
  • Stakeholder management
Desirable:
  • Familiarity with technologies such as Azure, Terraform, Docker and Kubernetes would be advantageous.
  • Experience working in a cyber security function
  • Archer IRM
  • Risk management processes
