Job summary

Jobtailor in Bengaluru is seeking a Senior Security Architect to lead security architecture and risk management across cloud-first initiatives. You will guide cross-functional teams, design IAM solutions, and champion secure by design across product development lifecycles.

Authority to influence security posture, drive incident response readiness, and align engineering with best practices in AWS and Azure. Strong communication required.

Qualifications

• Documented experience conducting threat-modeling exercises for applications and services
• Breadth across security architecture, compute, storage, networking, API integration, DevOps, and service delivery
• Direct experience designing IAM technologies and services
• Experience with one or more general purpose programming languages (Java, C/C++, Python, JavaScript)
• Hands-on with AWS and Azure cloud platforms

Responsibilities

• Research security and technical requirements, and align teams to functional and unit mission.
• Guide and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement secure by design principles.
• Adaptive communications and approaches to influence others to drive alignment and adoption of new ideas & concepts.
• Research and design security solutions that incorporate cloud-first and cloud-native mindsets to deliver highly scalable distributed solutions.
• Analyze complex scenarios, and define security requirements, technical requirements, and business requirements.
• Assess technical threats and determine risks to assist teams with prioritization of security outcomes.
• Socialize and advocate for new ideas and drive changes & adoption across Developer and Product teams.
• Accountable for security and technical leadership in cross-functional programs and initiatives.

Requirements

• Documented experience and a strong working knowledge of the methodologies to conduct threat‑modeling exercises on new applications and services
• Possess significant breadth across other disciplines (e.g., enterprise security architecture, compute services, storage, large‑scale networking, virtualization, data center, integration architecture (API), orchestration technologies, systems resiliency, service support, application development lifecycle management (DevOps), and service delivery).
• Direct experience designing IAM technologies and services.
• Experience with one or more general purpose programming languages including: Java, C/C++, Python, JavaScript.
• Excellent command of Cybersecurity organization practices, operations risk management processes, principles, architectural requirements, engineering threats and vulnerabilities, including incident response methodologies
• Hands‑on experience as an engineer or architect with public cloud technologies to include Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure Cloud Platforms.
