Nokia in Gurugram is seeking a security professional to assess security implications of emerging telecom technologies and guide secure adoption across engineering, operations and leadership.

You will translate threat intelligence into practical defensive controls, advise on data center and infrastructure security, and collaborate with Architecture, Engineering, SOC and leadership to drive security recommendations across the organization.

Qualificações

• Telecom security and architecture knowledge including 3GPP/GSMA/ETSI, and large-scale network security.
• Experience performing threat modeling and risk assessment across telecom environments.
• Ability to interpret threat intelligence (e.g., MITRE FiGHT, GSMA MoTIF) into actionable guidance.
• Familiarity with GSMA security frameworks and 3GPP security specs, ENISA, NIST, ETSI, and country telecom regs.

• Identify architectural risks, attack surfaces, dependencies, and blast radius from new tech.
• Develop structured advisories covering telecom tech, data centers, IP transport, virtualization, exposure, and infra.

• Provide security guidance for new data centers and infrastructure modernization, including segmentation and resilience.
• Define threat scenarios, likelihood, business impact, mitigations, and residual risk.
• Collaborate with Architecture, Engineering, SOC, and Leadership to drive security adoption.

Job Description

Responsible for assessing security implications of emerging technologies, telecom evolutions, infrastructure deployments, and novel attack techniques. Produces actionable security advisories that guide engineering, operations, and leadership toward secure adoption.

How You Will Contribute And What You Will Learn

• Emerging Technology Security Assessment – Assess security risks across 5G, Cloud, Edge, Open RAN, AI-driven networks, FWA, VoNR/VoLTE, VoIP, WebRTC, and future telecom technologies.
• Architecture & Systemic Risk Assessment – Identify security gaps, architectural risks, attack surfaces, dependencies, and potential blast radius arising from new technology and network transformations.
• Security Advisory Development – Develop structured, actionable advisories covering telecom technologies, data centers, IP transport, virtualization, network exposure, and emerging infrastructure.
• Threat & Attack Intelligence Translation – Analyze emerging attack techniques and threat intelligence, translating them into practical defensive controls, recommendations, and risk mitigations.
• Data Center & Infrastructure Security – Provide security guidance for new DC builds, expansions, and modernization, including segmentation, control planes, resilience, physical-logical convergence, and infrastructure protection.
• Risk-Based Recommendations – Define threat scenarios, likelihood, business impact/blast radius, mitigation strategies, and residual risks to support informed technology adoption decisions.
• Cross-Functional Security Influence – Partner with Architecture, Engineering, SOC, and Leadership teams to communicate risks effectively and drive adoption of security recommendations across the organization.

Key Skills And Experience

Must Have Skill:

• Telecom Security & Architecture – Strong understanding of telecom architectures, 3GPP, GSMA, ETSI, Broadband Forum, and large-scale network infrastructure security.
• Threat Modeling & Risk Assessment – Proven ability to perform threat modeling, identify attack surfaces, assess likelihood/blast radius, and develop risk-based mitigation strategies.
• Threat Intelligence & Attack Analysis – Ability to interpret emerging attack techniques and threat intelligence, including MITRE FiGHT and GSMA MoTIF, and translate findings into actionable security guidance.
• Security Standards & Regulatory Knowledge – Strong familiarity with GSMA security frameworks, 3GPP security specifications, ENISA, NIST, ETSI, and country-specific telecom regulatory requirements.

Good-to-Have Skills

• Security Certifications – CISSP, CISM, CRISC, or CCSP.
• Telecom / Infrastructure Experience – 4+ years of experience in telecom, data centers, cloud, or large-scale infrastructure security.

Security Advisory & Analytical Writing

Ability to produce clear, structured security advisories and communicate complex technical risks to engineering and leadership teams.

Strategic & Collaborative Mindset

Comfortable operating in ambiguity and working cross-functionally with Architecture, Engineering, SOC, and leadership teams.
