Job summary

ERM Placement Services seeks a skilled Cyber Automation Engineer to design, develop, and implement automation for cybersecurity operations across IAM, SOC, GRC, vulnerability management, and cloud security. The role focuses on reducing manual tasks, integrating tools, and enabling scalable, event-driven security processes.

Responsibilities include building automation workflows, automating incident response, and collaborating with Cybersecurity, IT Infra, Cloud, DevOps, and Engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and implementing automation for cybersecurity domains.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (Python/PowerShell/Bash).
• Experience integrating applications using REST APIs and webhooks.
• Knowledge of SOAR platforms (e.g., Cortex XSOAR, Splunk SOAR, Swimlane).
• Familiarity with automation tools like Power Automate, Logic Apps, ServiceNow.
• Understanding of SOC, IAM, GRC, vulnerability management, and cloud security.

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Cyber Automation Engineer to design, develop, and implement automation solutions that enhance cybersecurity operations across multiple domains, including Identity & Access Management (IAM), Security Operations Center (SOC), Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC), Vulnerability Management, and Cloud Security. The role focuses on improving operational efficiency by automating repetitive security processes, integrating security tools, and enabling scalable, event-driven security operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automation solutions across cybersecurity services including IAM, SOC, GRC, Vulnerability Management, and Cloud Security.
• Identify manual, repetitive, and error-prone cybersecurity processes and implement automation using scripting, orchestration, and low-code/no-code platforms.
• Develop automation workflows using Python, PowerShell, Bash, or similar scripting languages.
• Integrate security tools and platforms using REST APIs, webhooks, and event-driven automation to streamline security operations.
• Build and maintain automation playbooks, workflows, and orchestration capabilities across security platforms.
• Develop automated controls, validation mechanisms, compliance checks, and reporting for continuous monitoring and risk management.
• Collaborate with Cybersecurity, IT Infrastructure, Cloud, DevOps, and Engineering teams to embed automation into security operations and lifecycle processes.
• Automate security incident response, alert enrichment, ticket creation, user provisioning, vulnerability management, and compliance reporting.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize automation workflows to improve performance and reliability.
• Prepare technical documentation, automation runbooks, and knowledge repositories.
• Stay updated with emerging automation technologies, security frameworks, and industry best practices.

Required Skills

• Strong experience in cybersecurity automation and orchestration.
• Hands-on experience with Python, PowerShell, Bash, or other scripting languages.
• Experience integrating applications using REST APIs, JSON, webhooks, and automation frameworks.
• Knowledge of SOAR platforms such as Cortex XSOAR, Splunk SOAR (Phantom), Swimlane, Tines, or Microsoft Sentinel Automation.
• Experience with automation tools such as Microsoft Power Automate, Logic Apps, ServiceNow, or similar platforms.
• Understanding of cybersecurity domains including:
• Security Operations (SOC)
• Identity & Access Management (IAM)
• Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC)
• Vulnerability Management
• Cloud Security
• Familiarity with SIEM platforms and security monitoring solutions.
• Knowledge of DevSecOps, CI/CD pipelines, Git, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps is preferred.
• Understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
