Job summary

Tvs Training And Services is seeking a Curriculum Developer Biology to design, develop and continuously improve a CBSE-aligned Biology curriculum for Grades 6–12. The role emphasizes concept clarity, practical exposure and strong CBSE examination performance.

The candidate will create plans, resources and assessments, train teachers, and ensure timely updates to curriculum documents with a focus on NEP 2020 alignment.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Biology (M.Sc.).
• B.Ed (mandatory).
• Minimum 10 years of school-level Biology teaching experience (CBSE preferred).

Responsibilities

• Design and review Biology curriculum for Grades 6–12 aligned with CBSE, NCERT, NEP 2020 and NCF‑SE.
• Create lesson plans, worksheets, concept maps, and digital content to support inquiry-based learning.
• Develop practical/lab manuals and demonstration activities with safety and bioethics in mind.
• Prepare assessment frameworks, question banks, rubrics and board-pattern papers.
• Integrate cross-disciplinary links and track CBSE circulars; revise documents as needed.
• Train and mentor Biology teachers through workshops on pedagogy and curriculum changes.
• Maintain documentation and coordinate with other subject developers for integration.

• Curriculum Developer Biology

• Department: Academics – Curriculum & Learning Design
• Reports to: Principal / Head of Academics

Role Purpose

To design, develop and continuously improve a rigorous, NEP 2020-aligned Biology curriculum for Grades 6–12, ensuring concept clarity, strong practical exposure and excellent performance in CBSE examinations.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and review the Biology curriculum, annual plans, unit plans and pacing guides for Grades 6–12 in line with the latest CBSE syllabus, NCERT textbooks, NEP 2020 and NCF-SE guidelines.
• Create lesson plans, worksheets, concept maps, teaching-learning resources and digital content that promote inquiry-based, experiential and competency-based learning.
• Design practical and laboratory manuals, experiment lists and demonstration activities for Grades 11–12 Biology, ensuring lab safety and bioethical practices.
• Prepare assessment frameworks, question banks, competency-based and case-based questions, rubrics and board-pattern practice papers with marking schemes.
• Integrate real-life applications and cross-disciplinary links (health, environment, sustainability, technology) into the curriculum.
• Analyse student performance and board result data, and recommend improvements to curriculum and instruction.
• Train and mentor Biology teachers through workshops on new pedagogy, assessment practices and curriculum changes.
• Track CBSE circulars and updates and revise curriculum documents promptly.
• Maintain organised documentation and version control of all curriculum material, and coordinate with other subject developers for interdisciplinary integration.

Mandatory Qualifications and Experience

• Master's degree in Biology (M.Sc.).
• B.Ed (mandatory).
• Minimum 10 years of teaching experience in Biology at school level (CBSE experience preferred).

Preferred

• Experience teaching Grades 11–12 and handling board classes.
• Prior experience in curriculum design, content or textbook development, or as a CBSE resource person or evaluator.
• Additional certification in curriculum design or educational assessment.

Skills and Competencies

• Strong command of Biology and of the CBSE curriculum and assessment patterns.
• Excellent written communication and the ability to structure content clearly.
• Proficiency in MS Office, Google Workspace and digital learning / LMS tools.
• Good presentation and teacher-training skills, analytical thinking, attention to detail and a collaborative approach.
