Job summary

Aditya Birla Group in India Maharashtra Goregaon is seeking a Manager to assess credit lending proposals within established processes and market information. You will balance risk with growth and drive timely decisions.

You will engage with business teams to extract supporting information, review industry and financial structures, and implement risk mitigation to aid approvals. The role demands strong analytical skills and client interaction to maintain portfolio health.

Responsibilities

• To assess/ recommend/ decide the viability of credit lending proposals based on institutionalized processes and dynamic market information
• To decision proposals within delegated authority
• To undertake analysis of the credit proposals based on and analysis of market information, current macroeconomic scenario, current portfolio concentration, etc
• To meet all clients above a certain threshold (for existing ones) on a regular basis, and meet all clients before disbursal in case of new proposals
• To undertake critical review of the credit proposals logged in with a view to especially bringing out the industry, business, financial, management and facility structure risk contained in the credit proposal.
• To engage with business teams in understanding the proposals submitted and extracting the relevant supporting information
• To suggest measures for ensuring workability of the loan proposals to the RMs, keeping risk in check like suggesting risk mitigation for the identified risks
• To ensure the ECL of the organization is under control
• To guide the Business Analysts on the business side in ensuring faster TAT.

• To decision proposals within delegated authority
• To undertake analysis of the credit proposals based on and analysis of market information, current macroeconomic scenario, current portfolio concentration, etc

• To undertake critical review of the credit proposals logged in with a view to especially bringing out the industry, business, financial, management and facility structure risk contained in the credit proposal. The role needs to bring out the collateral and other credit risk mitigation to take decision / facilitate the approving authority to take decision on the credit proposal.
• To engage with business teams in understanding the proposals submitted and extracting the relevant supporting information
• To suggest measures for ensuring workability of the loan proposals to the RMs, keeping risk in check like suggesting risk mitigation for the identified risks
• To ensure the ECL of the organization is under control
• To guide the Business Analysts on the business side in ensuring faster TAT.

To ensure efficient Turnaround time (TATs) for validating the proposals

• To ensure TAT within SLAs with analysis of the broad parameters for considering or not considering the given proposal
• To effectively deploy processes and mechanisms for ensuring high quality TATs for validating lending proposals & share the same with all concerned
• To liaise with the Regional/ Zonal Credit Heads and Zonal Sales Heads, RH and BH , credit committee and pricing committees for closing the approval process after validation from risk
• To ensure prompt resolution/ explanation of queries raised by sanctioning authorities

To regularly provide inputs for new products, processes & credit lending norms

• To undertake improvements in approval notes and other processes to meet dynamic market environment and needs of new customer segments
• To recommend new tools in the market that facilitate the monitoring processes

To perform portfolio monitoring and analytics for effective risk monitoring

• To monitor the C&IB portfolio performance by continual analysis of fundamentals & reviewing the ratings, analyze the covenants and evaluate industry performance in that sector
• To devise various analytical tools to measure the portfolio health from various angles and highlight 'early warning' signals
• To review the covenants of loan proposals at frequent intervals and undertake action for serious deviations
• To review reports and analytics on repayment schedules, covenant monitoring, modification in terms and loan sanction
• Protect from potential loss on the credit portfolio by detecting early warning signals of deteriorating risks and advising these to the business teams and senior management.
• To formulate strategies to reduce exposures where the credit risk has enhanced including complete recovery before the credit deteriorates to non-performing category;
• To work closely with the collection team and legal team to take action against defaulting parties

To work towards skill enhancement and team building

• To guide business analysts for better customer acquisition & provide them best-in-class knowledge on selection norms, new ways of proposal analysis & new concepts.
