Job summary

Qualcomm India Private Limited is seeking a Hardware Engineer to plan, design, verify and test electronic systems, including CPU subsystems and DVFS features, across bare-metal and OS-based environments. You will join a cross-functional team delivering high-performance hardware solutions for next-generation devices.

The role requires advanced degrees and extensive experience in CPU architectures, firmware and device drivers, with strong bring-up and debugging skills in complex environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field and 8+ years of Hardware Engineering or related work experience.
• Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field and 7+ years of Hardware Engineering or related work experience.
• PhD in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field and 6+ years of Hardware Engineering or related work experience.

Responsibilities

• Development and maintenance of CPU subsystem validation infrastructure, involving both bare-metal and OS-based full-stack environments (such as TFA, Linux, hypervisor, TEE).
• Execution and debugging of functional validation for custom CPU features.
• Enablement and validation of low-power and DVFS (Dynamic Voltage and Frequency Scaling) features for CPU domains.
• Debugging and profiling support across bare-metal and full-stack environments.

CPU Microarchitecture Knowledge

Subsystem Fundamentals

• Caches, MMU, interrupts, debug subsystems, and exception handling.

Software-Hardware Stack Expertise

• Experience with one or more of RTOS, Linux kernel, trusted firmware, hypervisors, and device drivers.


• Strong bring-up and debugging skills in complex environments.
