Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and experienced Power BI Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining business intelligence solutions using Microsoft Power BI. This role involves working closely with business stakeholders to understand their root needs and deliver insightful and actionable reports and dashboards. Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy Power BI dashboards and reports that meet business requirements.
• Create interactive and visually appealing visualizations to help stakeholders understand key metrics and trends.
• Develop custom visuals and complex calculations using DAX, Data Analysis Expressions, Data Modelling and Transformation.
• Build and optimize data models to support the development of reports and dashboards.
• Utilize Power Query M to extract, transform, and load ETL data from various sources into Power BI.
• Ensure data accuracy and integrity through robust validation and testing processes.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather reporting needs and translate them into technical specifications.
• Partner with analysts, engineers, and IT teams to integrate data from multiple sources and ensure consistency.
• Monitor and improve the performance of Power BI reports and dashboards, implementing best practices for model design and performance tuning.
• Maintain documentation and provide training and support to end‑users on how to use Power BI tools and interpret the insights.
• Stay current with the latest features and updates in Power BI and other Microsoft BI tools, driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Technical Skills

Power BI expertise, including Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, Power Query, and DAX. Strong knowledge of Power BI gateways and connecting Power BI to various data sources such as SQL Server, Azure SQL, Excel, SharePoint, and others. Experience with ETL processes using Power Query M or tools like SSIS, Informatica, Azure Data Factory, Power Automate. Solid understanding of relational databases, SQL, and data modeling techniques including star and snowflake schemas. Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python and R for automation is a plus.
