Job summary

Intas Pharmaceuticals in Ahmedabad seeks an experienced SAP Controlling (CO) specialist to manage product costing and the end-to-end month-end closing cycle. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate inventory valuation, align FP&A with production, and serve as SME for SAP CO (S4/HANA preferred) in a large pharma/process manufacturing setting.

The role requires 8–10 years in SAP CO costing, strong analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally in a regulated manufacturing

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• SAP CO Month-End Closing & Financial Reporting.

• Month-End CO Cycle management: settlement, WIP, overheads.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced SAP Controlling (CO) specialist to manage product costing and the end-to-end month-end closing cycle. The ideal candidate ensures accurate inventory valuation, aligns financial processes with the production team, and acts as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the SAP environment (preferably S4/HANA).

Key Responsibilities

• SAP CO Month-End Closing & Financial Reporting
• Annual Standard Cost Run: Drive the annual standard cost run and release all existing products across all plants for accurate inventory revaluation.
• New SKU Cost Run: Execute standard cost runs, analyse, and release costs for newly created Semi-Finished Goods (SFG) and Finished Goods (FG) codes.
• Month-End CO Cycle: Manage the full cycle in SAP CO module: production order settlement, WIP calculation, overhead absorption, and idle cost calculation.
• Cost Allocations: Perform cost centre assessments/distributions, activity allocations, and overhead calculations accurately.
• BOM & Recipe Checking: Collaborate closely with the production team to swiftly rectify and troubleshoot BOM/Recipe errors observed in the system.
• Financial Insights: Interpret operational data and provide actionable financial insights to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications & Experience

• Education: CMA (Cost and Management Accountant) or CA (Chartered Accountant) certification.
• Experience: 8 to 10 years of proven experience in product costing within an SAP environment, preferably in a large pharmaceutical or process manufacturing organization.
• Technical Expertise: SME-level mastery of the SAP CO module and product costing. Solid foundational understanding of the MM (Material Management) and PP (Production Planning) modules.
• Cycle Knowledge: End-to-end expertise in the Month-End CO Cycle, including designing/modifying assessment and distribution cycles, process order settlement, WIP valuation, and actualization of overheads.
• Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities with high attention to detail.
• Communication: Excellent cross-functional partnering ability to bridge finance and manufacturing operations.
• Ownership: High sense of ownership, integrity, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, regulated manufacturing environment.
