Job Description

As Corporate Development Associate, you are responsible for building a proactive pipeline of acquisition, partnership and strategic investment opportunities and for supporting the execution of deals. You will also be involved in post‑merger integration activities at acquired companies and lead selected strategic projects and growth initiatives.

Essential Functions
  • Conduct market research in defined search fields and compile information on market structure, trends, key players etc.
  • Search for attractive acquisition targets and investment opportunities in defined search fields
  • Work collaboratively with other departments to identify and evaluate targets
  • Support contacting of targets and arrange meetings with owner / senior management of targets
  • Develop detailed financial models and support target valuation and business case modelling
  • Coordinate and manage due diligence activities with internal and external parties and prepare finding reports for due diligence committee meetings
  • Assist in preparing and negotiating term sheets, letter of intents, final offers, purchase agreements, partnership agreements etc.
  • Prepare summary materials on potential transactions for presentation to targets, Oetiker Head of Corporate Development, Oetiker Executive Board and Oetiker Board of Directors
  • Assist post‑merger integration team in integration planning and execution activities
  • Prepare presentations and analyses on various topics for senior management
  • Work on other strategic projects and growth initiatives as assigned by the Head Corporate Development
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and discretion throughout all stages of the deal process.
Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in business, finance, economics or similar field
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience, preferably in corporate development, M&A consulting or business development
Additional Information
  • Strong financial modeling, valuation, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Fluent in English, any other language is a plus
  • Detail‑oriented, organized and a self‑starter – able to work efficiently and independently in a fast‑paced environment
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams and prioritize based on business needs and urgency
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills – Able to communicate and work effectively with stakeholders across multiple locations and business functions
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Cross‑border deal experience is a strong plus
