Job summary

State Street is seeking an Associate – Corporate Actions to independently process mandatory and voluntary corporate actions across markets and funds. You will interpret announcements, ensure accurate posting in accounting systems, and reconcile positions and cash to resolve breaks within SLAs.

You will collaborate with Custody, Fund Accounting, Client Service, and Technology teams, driving timely delivery and clear communication with clients while maintaining strong risk controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting or related discipline.
• 2–4 years of hands-on experience in Corporate Actions or investment operations.
• Strong understanding of end-to-end corporate action processing and global market practices.

Responsibilities

• Independently process mandatory and voluntary corporate actions such as dividends, splits, mergers, rights, tenders, and redemptions.
• Interpret announcements from vendors, custodians, and issuers and determine correct processing and accounting treatment.
• Ensure timely posting of corporate action events in accounting and Gold Copy systems.
• Reconcile positions, cash, and entitlements and investigate breaks within SLAs.
• Monitor lifecycle of events from announcement through payment and closure.
• Coordinate with Custody, Fund Accounting, Client Service, and Technology teams to resolve issues.
• Respond to client and internal queries related to corporate action processing and financial impacts.

Job description

The Associate –(Corporate Actions) is responsible for independently processing and accounting for corporate action events across assigned markets and funds. The role requires a strong understanding of voluntary and mandatory corporate actions, accurate interpretation of announcements, timely processing, and strict adherence to risk and control standards.

What you will be responsible for:

As Associate you will:

• Independently process mandatory and voluntary corporate actions such as dividends, splits, mergers, rights, tenders, and redemptions in line with market practices and internal guidelines
• Interpret corporate action announcements received from vendors, custodians, and issuers and determine the correct processing and accounting treatment
• Ensure timely and accurate posting of corporate action events in accounting and Gold Copy systems
• Reconcile positions, cash, and entitlements and investigate and resolve breaks within agreed SLAs
• Monitor the complete lifecycle of events from announcement through payment and closure
• Coordinate with Custody, Fund Accounting, Client Service, and Technology teams to resolve event-related issues
• Respond to client and internal queries related to corporate action processing and financial impacts
