Job summary

Cornerstone is seeking an Associate Software Engineer in Hyderabad, India to design and deliver scalable solutions within an agile framework. You will own complete feature stories, write code and tests, and participate in code reviews to ensure quality.

You will analyze specifications and collaborate with cross-functional teams (support, services, PM) to meet user expectations and drive strong results while leveraging Java, Python, and modern development practices. Campus recruits welcome.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related engineering field.
• Solid programming skills in Java, Python, or another modern language.
• Strong knowledge of design patterns and database design fundamentals.

As an Associate Software Engineer, you will design and deliver solutions that scale to meet the needs of some of the largest and most innovative organizations in the world. You will work with team members to understand and exceed user expectations, continually pushing the technical envelope and helping CSOD deliver strong results. Working in an agile framework built around development sprints and regular release cycles, you will own the complete feature story.

In this role you will

• Analyze defined specifications, then develop and document designs that meet applicable standards. Identify, analyze and resolve moderately complex software issues.
• Write code, unit tests and complete programming, and test and debug moderately complex features following detailed specifications. Design solutions for moderately complex features.
• Take part in team code review sessions.
• Help establish estimates for deliverables.
• Attend requirement and/or design review discussions.
• Work closely with extended teams (support, services, PM) when required.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related engineering field. Campus recruits are welcome, along with an enthusiastic "want to learn a lot" mindset.
• Solid programming skills in Java, Python, or another modern programming language
• Strong knowledge of design patterns and database design fundamentals
• Strong understanding of web and/or application development technologies
• Object-oriented development experience
• Knowledge of advanced front-end frameworks and platforms. React or Angular knowledge is a plus.
• Knowledge of transaction-based systems, RDBMS or NoSQL technologies
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Knowledge of Scrum or other Agile development methodologies
• Ability to work with a team mindset
