Job summary

RBS in Gurugram invites a seasoned AVP-level Core Treasury Lead to oversee data integrity, regulatory reporting, and end-to-end regulatory data ownership. You will drive forecasting, liquidity management and risk oversight for central and franchise treasuries.

You will mentor a team, guide automation efforts with Power BI, Alteryx and Python, and ensure timely, accurate financial information and P&L/substantiation across mandates.

Qualifications

• CA or MBA qualification with extensive experience in financial services
• 5 to 8 years of experience, preferably in banking
• Experience in automation and knowledge of Power BI, Alteryx, Python co-pilot tools
• Considerable knowledge of liquidity drivers and regulatory scenarios
• Knowledge of treasury products and accounting standards
• Strong communication skills to articulate issues to senior management and stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Support data integrity, financial forecasting and modelling on an accurate, timely basis
• Deliver substantiated regulatory data and end-to-end ownership of franchise and legal entity data
• Enable daily and monthly financial information delivery and end-to-end business unit control
• Manage daily P&L production and monthly balance sheet substantiations for treasuries

Join us as a Core Treasury Team Lead

• If you’ve got a good understanding of the banking environment, treasury products, regulatory and liquidity reporting this is a great opportunity to join our business
• You’ll be taking ownership for the team’s delivery and integrity of monthly regulatory information and overseeing the preparation and delivery of source system reconciliation
• It’s a chance to develop your existing skills and build working relationships with colleagues, leveraging best practices across the wider Finance function
• We’re offering this role at associate vice president level

What you’ll do

This role will see you supporting data integrity, financial forecasting and rich modelling, making sure they’re performed on an accurate and timely basis. You’ll also help deliver elements of substantiated and materially accurate capital and other regulatory data, as well as providing input into the end-to-end control and ownership of franchise and legal entity regulatory data.

Day-to-day, you’ll also be:

• Enabling the delivery and integrity of daily and monthly financial information
• Managing the end-to-end business unit control, including daily profit and loss production and analysis, and monthly balance sheet substantiations for central and franchise treasuries of the bank
• Supporting all core Treasury activities in liquidity, capital, term funding, securitisation and interest rate and FX risk management space
• Producing liquidity metrics for liquidity risk reporting as per the requirements under BASEL III and UK regulatory guidelines issued by the PRA
• Identifying, resolving and providing solutions to issues arising from financials produced

The skills you’ll need

You’ll have a CA or MBA qualification with extensive experience in the financial services industry. You’ll also have team management experience and the ability to mentor, coach and train team members to achieve objectives.It’ll be ideal if you have experience in product control, and an understanding of financial business and products will be an advantage.

Additionally, you’ll need:

• At least five to eight years of experience, preferably from the banking industry
• Experience in automation and knowledge of how Power BI, Alteryx, Python co- pilot tools work
• Considerable knowledge of the drivers of liquidity and changing regulatory scenarios and requirements
• Knowledge in treasury products like bond, derivatives and similar as well as knowledge of accounting standards
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate issues to senior management and stakeholders
