Job summary

Stellantis Engineering India Private Limited seeks an experienced vehicle dynamics/ESC specialist. You will lead calibration, testing plans, and collaboration with suppliers and global ESC teams to ensure robust ESC performance.

The role requires hands-on tuning of ESC features, chassis dynamics, and adherence to homologation standards. The candidate should have strong CAN tool expertise (CANalyzer, CANape) and proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink, with readiness to travel for field testing and

Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech in Mechanical or Automobile engineering.
• ME/M.Tech in Vehicle Dynamics is preferable.

Responsibilities

• Calibrate and develop Electronic stability control and related features.
• Prepare testing/tuning plans aligned with project timelines.
• Coordinate with suppliers and internal/global ESC teams.
• Engage external proving grounds/vendors for test plans including proto-vehicle shipments.
• Maintain database of ESC maneuvers and DVPs/catalogue entries.
• Demonstrate strong vehicle dynamics assessment on varied friction surfaces.
• Tune ESC and Traction control features; leverage chassis experience.
• Deep knowledge of chassis and vehicle dynamics domain.
• Understand brake system architecture and parameter contributions.
• Understand Indian/European homologation requirements for safety systems.
• Willingness to travel domestically and overseas as required.
• Fluent in Vector CAN tools for measurement, analysis, and flashing.
• Demonstrate good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Exposure to ADAS and active chassis controls is a plus.
• Tool proficiency: CANalyzer, CANape, MATLAB, Simulink, Vbox.

Job Overview ESC Features & Core Dynamics

Lead Education: B.E /B.Tech (Mechanical/Automobile), M.E/M.Tech specialized in Vehicle Dynamics is Preferable

Overall Experience: 5+ years with Master, 8+ Years with BE/Btech

Roles and Responsibilities

• Be responsible for calibration and development of Electronic stability control and associated features.
• Preparation of testing/tuning plan and incorporate seamlessly with project timeline.
• Effectively communicate with Suppliers and be in correspondence with internal functions and Global ESC functions.
• Co-ordinate with external Proving grounds/vendors to execute test plans including shipment of proto vehicles to Winter test locations.
• Perform and maintain database of all DVP/catalogue maneuvers related to ESC features.
• Essential: Excellent driving skill in performing Vehicle dynamics assessment in High and Low friction surfaces.
• Good Physical experience in tuning several features related to ESC and Traction control systems.
• Good Knowledge & Hands on experience in Chassis & Vehicle Dynamics domain.
• Excellent understanding of Brake system architecture like one box and contribution of different parameters in performance.
• Strong and complete understanding of INDIAN/EUROPIAN homologation test requirement for Emergency Handling, Emergency Brake assist, iTPMS, ESC, ABS etc.
• Should be Flexible in travel across country proving ground and overseas based on requirement.
• Must be fluid in using CAN tools of Vector for measurement, analysis, configuring and flashing software.
• Good communication skills and interpersonal skills.
• Exposure to ADAS and active chassis controls are added advantage.
• Tool Knowledge: CANalyzer, CANape, MATLAB, Simulink, Vbox.
