Airtificial is seeking a Controls Team Leader to direct electrical controls and PLC activities from design through commissioning for automotive production environments. You will collaborate with engineering teams and customers to integrate, test, and optimize control systems.
The role requires leading projects, selecting components, programming and debugging PLC/HMI systems, and providing on-site commissioning support at customer sites.
We’re looking for a Controls Team Leader to lead electrical controls and PLC activities for automated machines, from design through commissioning and customer acceptance. You’ll work with engineering teams and customers to integrate, test, and optimize control systems for automotive production environments.
Develop and review control architectures for PLCs, HMIs, servos, and robots.
Guide electrical design and component selection.
Program, debug, and optimize PLC and HMI systems.
Integrate sensors, vision systems, screwdrivers, presses, scanners, safety devices, and industrial networks.
Support FAT/MQ1 and SAT/MQ2 activities.
Troubleshoot cycle-time and machine-performance issues.
Assign work and mentor controls engineers.
Provide commissioning support at customer sites.
B.E. or Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or Automation Engineering.
Typically 5–8+ years of experience in industrial automation.
Strong Siemens TIA Portal/S7 experience or proficiency with an equivalent PLC platform.
Knowledge of HMIs, VFDs, servos, and industrial networks.
Experience with Profinet, Profibus, or EtherNet/IP.
Experience commissioning machinery for the automotive industry.
Ability to lead engineering teams and work at customer sites.
