Job summary

Accenture in India in Maharashtra seeks a Controllership Senior Analyst to manage financial reporting, tax compliance and controllership activities in venture financing contexts. The role requires a Chartered Accountant with 4–6 years post-qualification experience, strong IFRS/US GAAP knowledge, and tax accounting experience.

Experience in Big4 or equivalent is preferable. Strong communication and time-management skills are essential.

Qualifications

  • Qualified Chartered Accountant with 5-7 years of post-qualification experience.
  • Working experience in Big4 or equivalent is preferable.
  • Knowledge of IFRS/US GAAP; tax knowledge of APAC & European regions is an advantage.
  • Strong communication, time management and attention to detail.
  • SAP experience is an advantage but not essential.

Responsibilities

  • Preparation of Tax Returns and liaison with Tax advisors.
  • Calculation of tax implications in case of mergers and acquisitions.
  • Assisting in handling assessment & litigations.
  • Preparation of tax provisions as part of both the year end US GAAP and Local GAAP reporting process for several operating entities
  • Responsible for population of templates for Income Tax Compliance purposes for submission to Tax provider
  • Undertake research and put forward Tax positions as required.
  • Calculation of Effective Tax Rate on a quarterly basis.
  • Calculation of Current Tax & Deferred Tax provisions and Unrecognized Tax Benefit.
  • Involved in the preparation of the Tax forecast on a quarterly basis for review by Country Controller.
  • Liaising with tax advisors answering queries & providing data as required.
  • Develop and manage the relationship with Country Controller and the Global tax Group.
  • Review of monthly tax reconciliations
  • Ensure integrity and completeness of financial records and internal financial controls
  • Supporting the continuous improvement of processes, controls, and data quality, including effective use of technology and participate in projects as required.
  • Support to management on operational reporting
  • Open to work with tax compliances of various APAC countries

CF Operations Controllership refers to the management and oversight of an organizations financial reporting and accounting functions. This includes ensuring accurate financial records, compliance with regulations, budgeting, and financial analysis. The goal is to provide reliable financial information to support decision-making and maintain financial integrity. Venture Capital (VC) Financing is the process of raising funding for high-growth potential startups and early-stage businesses, and involves investors providing capital to these ventures in exchange for an ownership stake or equity. This funding is typically used to fuel growth, expand operations, develop products or services, and achieve milestones.

What are we looking for?
  • Skills:
  • Knowledge of Accounting standards (IFRS/US GAAP)
  • Experience in Corporate Tax & International Tax
  • Knowledge of Income Tax Accounting and forecasting for Unrecognized Tax Benefit in accordance with ASC 740 (formerly known as FIN 48)
  • Strong oral and written communication
  • Knowledge of MS office, accounting & tax software
  • Numerical and technical analysis skills
