Job summary

Accenture is seeking a Controllership Analyst to support post-close accounting, affiliate accounting, SAP cutover, stabilization and handover activities under supervision. You will coordinate with Finance Transition Services, Tax, Legal and country controllership to ensure timely, accurate reporting and audit-ready evidence.

The role requires an MBA with 3–5 years of experience in controllership, US GAAP/IFRS exposure, and familiarity with SAP Financials or BlackLine.

Qualifications

• Core competencies include accounting analysis, execution discipline, problem solving, stakeholder coordination, concise communication, planning, adaptability, collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Preferred experience in acquisition or business-combination accounting, affiliate accounting or post-acquisition integration; US GAAP IFRS; statutory accounts or audits; SAP Financials, BlackLine; global teams; VBA, macros, Power Query or finance automation.

Responsibilities

• Support assigned acquisitions and controllership workstreams under Level 9 or above direction and review; prepare accounting workings, journal support, reconciliations, financial analysis and audit-ready evidence.
• Review purchase accounting and opening balance sheet activities by gathering evidence and analysing balances in accordance with approved guidance.
• Execute affiliate accounting during the post close and pre SAP period, including trial balance review, balance-sheet support, income-statement movements, estimates, true-ups and adjustments.
• Reconcile statutory or legacy books, affiliate outputs and US GAAP balances; investigate unusual movements, missing support and accounting differences, and elevate items requiring judgment.
• Support SAP transition, accounting data dependencies, readiness and stabilization; coordinate inputs with Finance Transition Services, Tax, Legal, country controllership, integration teams and finance towers.

• Joint venture accounting is the complete accounting system for joint venture operations and is used to invoice partners for their share of costs and to ensure cash flow is timely from the billing and payment from partners.

• Maintain deal trackers, checklists, issue logs, action lists and handover files; ensure deliverables are complete, traceable, timely and compliant with internal controls, policies and retention requirements.
• Provide clear status updates, elevate risks and dependencies early, and contribute to standardized templates, metrics, job aids, reporting and automation.
• Accountable for assigned work quality and timeliness, effective follow up, transparent reporting and early escalation.
