Overview

Contract opportunity for a Java Security Developer (PKCS#11 / HSM Integration) at Protect Threat. The Java Security Developer will work on a strategic project for one of India’s largest banks, focused on upgrading UPI transaction authentication from M-PIN to biometric authentication (face/fingerprint). The developer will be responsible for enhancing existing Java cryptographic implementations to support RSA/ECB/OAEPWithSHA-256AndMGF1Padding with PKCS#11 and HSM integration.

Responsibilities

• Enhance and adapt existing Java code for RSA/ECB/OAEPWithSHA-256AndMGF1Padding.
• Integrate with PKCS#11 libraries and deployed HSMs.
• Ensure compliance with NPCI encryption and authentication requirements.
• Collaborate with client teams and bank stakeholders for seamless implementation.
• Debug, test, and validate cryptographic functions while maintaining backward compatibility.
• Document changes and provide knowledge transfer to internal teams.

Qualifications

• Strong Java programming and software development skills.
• Hands-on experience with PKCS#11 integration and HSMs.
• Proficiency in Java Cryptography (JCA/JCE).
• Knowledge of RSA, OAEP, PKCS#1, and secure key management practices.
