Job summary

Columbus Vacations is seeking a creative Content Writer to produce engaging travel content across social media, blogs, LinkedIn, and the company website. The role covers destination guides, travel news, and promotional campaigns for both domestic and international packages.

You will craft SEO-friendly blog posts, edit for brand voice, and collaborate with Marketing and Travel teams to deliver timely content aligned with campaigns and offers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in English, journalism, mass communication, marketing, or related field.
• 2-6 years of experience in content writing, preferably in travel, tourism, hospitality, or digital marketing.
• Excellent written English with strong grammar, vocabulary, and storytelling skills.
• Strong research and content-creation abilities.
• Good understanding of social media and digital marketing.
• Basic knowledge of SEO and keyword research.
• Ability to write original, engaging, and plagiarism-free content.
• Creative mindset with an eye for current trends and audience engagement.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Create engaging content for Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and other social media platforms.
• Write travel blogs, destination guides, articles, and website content.
• Research and create content around latest travel news, trends, destinations, tourism updates, and industry developments.
• Develop creative captions, posts, promotional content, and campaign ideas.
• Create content for domestic and international travel packages, visa services, flights, travel insurance, hotels, transfers, and corporate travel.
• Prepare informative and promotional content for LinkedIn and other professional platforms.
• Conduct research on destinations, travel trends, competitors, and relevant topics.
• Develop SEO-friendly blogs and articles using relevant keywords.
• Proofread and edit content to ensure proper grammar, clarity, accuracy, and brand consistency.
• Work closely with the Marketing and Travel teams to understand campaigns, offers, and content requirements.
• Stay updated with current travel news, social media trends, and content trends to generate fresh content ideas.
• Maintain a consistent and professional brand tone and communication style across all platforms.
