Job summary

Lokal App is seeking a Content Specialist to ensure image and video content meets language, creative, cultural, and quality standards for local language audiences across Bharat. The role requires sharp attention to detail and regional language expertise, with the ability to manage high-volume quality checks.

You will review visuals before publishing, verify translations and metadata, and provide actionable feedback to creators and editors to maintain content quality during peak campaigns.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university.
• Strong command of the respective regional language.
• Good understanding of local culture, festivals, trends, and social-media content.
• Strong attention to detail and quality-focused approach.
• Ability to quickly identify linguistic, visual, and contextual errors.
• Basic understanding of image/video editing and design quality.
• Ability to handle high-volume content during events and campaigns.
• Good communication and feedback skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced content environment.
• Experience in content quality control, moderation, or content operations is preferred.
• Strong eye for emotionally powerful or viral content
• Awareness of Indian tier 2,3 audience’s status consumption habits

Responsibilities

• Review images and videos before publishing.
• Check spelling, grammar, translation, and language accuracy.
• Ensure content is culturally and contextually relevant for each language.
• Identify blurred visuals, poor layouts, incorrect text placement, low-quality edits, and misleading content.
• Review content across categories such as festivals, devotional, wishes, motivation, Suvichar, political, and trending content.
• Verify language, category, tags, and metadata.
• Prevent cross-language, duplicate, and irrelevant content from entering the feed.
• Maintain and follow a clear QC checklist and quality standards.
• Share regular feedback with creators and editors.
• Track recurring mistakes and highlight creator- and language-level quality issues.
• Coordinate with Content Ops, Growth, and Marketing teams during major events and festivals.
• Maintain fast turnaround without compromising content quality.
