Job description

StackGen is hiring a Content Marketing Manager to join our team in India. This role will be instrumental in bridging the gap between our product capabilities and our marketing initiatives, creating compelling enterprise-scale content that resonates with technical personas (SREs, DevOps, platform engineers, developers) as well as buyers and decision makers in enterprises.

You will own the content engine that reaches DevOps, SRE, and platform engineering audiences. This is a hands‑on, multi‑format role: you'll write and produce content across LinkedIn, technical articles, video scripts, newsletters, podcasts, distribute it natively across channels, and build the AI‑assisted workflows that let one strong idea become a week's worth of content. You'll also drive demand‑generation content: buyer guides, ebooks, whitepapers, blogs, one- and two-pagers, website edits and event brochures with an eye toward AEO and SEO. You should be comfortable operating both as a technical writer and as a marketing content manager.

You'll own a content program that connects to the pipeline, not just traffic. Every content decision should trace back to how it moves a buyer toward a conversation with sales, not just how many views or clicks it generates.

Experience in cloud infrastructure, DevOps, SRE, platform engineering, or developer tooling is mandatory.

Experience:
  • 5 years minimum of content marketing experience, with that time spent in DevOps, SRE, platform engineering, cloud infrastructure, developer tooling, or an adjacent technical domain. Domain experience is mandatory, not preferred. This is a technical audience and credibility has to be real.
What You'll Do:
  • Build and run a content program measured on pipeline contribution, sourced/influenced opportunities and funnel velocity with traffic and engagement treated as leading indicators, not the scoreboard.
  • Create content that speaks fluently to DevOps, SRE, and platform engineering audiences understanding what technical credibility looks like and writing accordingly, even without a hands‑on engineering background.
  • Produce across formats: LinkedIn posts, long‑form articles, video scripts, and newsletters that land with technical readers.
  • Distribute content natively across channels: LinkedIn, developer communities (Discord, Slack, Reddit, Hacker News, CNCF Slack etc), blog, email, and video adapting tone and format to each, and earning credibility in communities rather than imposing on them.
  • Design and operate AI‑assisted content workflows that turn a single source (a sales call, a doc, a launch brief) into coordinated multi‑channel output, owning the workflow stack rather than using AI as a novelty.
  • Work hands‑on across the mar‑tech stack: HubSpot, Google Analytics, and Google Search Console on the operations side; Claude, ChatGPT, Perplexity, and AirOps on the AI side and help evolve that stack as new tools emerge.
  • Build demand‑generation assets: buyer guides, ebooks, whitepapers, blog posts, one‑and‑two‑pagers, and event brochures, optimized for both traditional SEO and AI answer engines (AEO).
  • Partner with product marketing, events, and sales enablement to keep content aligned with buying reasons and active campaigns.
What We're Looking For

You build content programs that connect to pipeline, not just traffic. You can trace every major content investment to a stage in the buyer journey and a pipeline outcome — sourced or influenced opportunities, sales‑accepted leads, deal velocity — rather than optimizing for page views, impressions, or follower counts in isolation. You know how to instrument content for attribution in HubSpot, work with SEO/GSC data as a leading indicator rather than the goal, and can defend a content calendar in terms of what it's supposed to do to the pipeline, not just what it's supposed to say.

2. DevOps/SRE Ecosystem Fluency

You know the DevOps, SRE, and platform engineering world — the debates, the tools, the communities, and what earns respect versus what reads as marketing noise. You don't need a background as an engineer, but you understand what credibility looks like to this audience and write with that instinct.

3. Content Craft (Multi‑Format, Technical)

You have strong content instincts across formats — LinkedIn posts, articles, scripts, newsletters, and video — and you can consistently produce content that lands with a technical audience, not just a marketing one.

You're channel‑native. You know how content behaves differently on LinkedIn versus developer communities (Discord, Slack, Reddit, Hacker News, CNCF) versus blog versus email versus video, and you adapt accordingly. In communities, you earn credibility — you don't impose on them.

5. AI Workflow Building (Systems‑Level)

You build and run AI‑assisted content workflows that turn one source into multi‑channel output. You own the workflow stack end to end and treat AI as leverage for scale and quality, not as a novelty or a shortcut.

You're hands‑on with HubSpot, Google Analytics, and Google Search Console, plus a design tool like Canva, on the operations side. On the AI side, you're fluent with Claude, ChatGPT, Perplexity, and AirOps, and you're comfortable evolving the stack as better tools appear.

7. Demand Generation Content

You can create the full range of demand‑gen assets — buyer guides, ebooks, whitepapers, blog posts, one‑and‑two‑pagers, and event brochures — and you think like an SEO/AEO expert, optimizing content to be found by both search engines and AI answer engines.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience marketing to platform engineering, AI DevOps, AI SRE, or observability buyers specifically.
  • A track record of organic growth or engagement in a technical community (e.g., a personal brand followed by engineers, or contributions recognized in a DevOps/SRE forum).
  • Video production or editing experience for short‑form and long‑form technical content.
  • Familiarity with B2B infrastructure or cloud‑native buying cycles.
