PraDigi Centre, a unit of Pratham, develops technology-enabled learning solutions to strengthen foundational mathematics learning among children and youth. Through its programs, it connects children (10–14 years) and youth (14+ years) in rural and semi-urban communities with engaging online and offline learning experiences. Using a well-structured mathematics curriculum, interactive activities, regular practice through worksheets and quizzes, and continuous assessment, the program helps learners build conceptual understanding, numerical fluency, and problem-solving skills. By making quality mathematics education accessible to all, PraDigi Centre aims to bridge learning gaps, foster confidence, and empower learners to apply mathematical concepts effectively in their daily lives.
Position Overview
The Content Developer – Mathematics will be a part of the dynamic PraDigi Content Team, responsible for designing, developing, and managing engaging, curriculum-aligned mathematics content for middle school students. The role involves creating conceptually rich learning resources that promote mathematical understanding, problem-solving, and critical thinking through both digital and blended learning approaches. This position is ideal for individuals with a strong background in mathematics content development, a good understanding of educational technology, and a passion for making mathematics learning interactive, accessible, and meaningful for all learners.
Key Responsibilities
Content Development & Creation
- Design and develop engaging, curriculum-aligned mathematics content for middle school learners across digital and blended learning platforms.
- Create contextualised mathematics learning resources, including lesson plans, activities, worksheets, assessments, and intervention programs for both online and offline implementation.
- Develop innovative teaching‑learning strategies and age‑appropriate assessment frameworks that strengthen conceptual understanding, problem‑solving, and mathematical reasoning.
- Write clear, accurate, and engaging scripts for mathematics learning videos and other multimedia resources tailored to the needs of diverse learners.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to brainstorm, review, and refine content, ensuring pedagogical quality, learner engagement, and alignment with program objectives.
- Continuously research, pilot, and improve content based on learner feedback, classroom observations, and emerging educational practices.
Training & Content Implementation
- Design and deliver training modules and workshops on mathematics content and digital learning resources for educators, content developers, and other stakeholders.
- Build the capacity of team members by training them on content design, pedagogy, and the effective use of technology‑enabled learning materials.
- Work directly with middle school students to pilot, implement, and evaluate mathematics content, ensuring it is engaging, age‑appropriate, and conceptually sound.
- Gather feedback from classroom interactions and training sessions to continuously refine and improve content quality and learning outcomes.
- Support both online and in‑person training and implementation activities as required.
Monitoring, Data Collection & Analysis
- Conduct field visits to schools and implementation sites to monitor the quality and effectiveness of mathematics content implementation.
- Pilot and evaluate mathematics content, analyse learner performance, engagement, and feedback, and recommend improvements based on findings.
- Collect, document, and analyse implementation data, classroom observations, and stakeholder feedback to identify learning gaps and enhance content quality.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and documentation on program progress, key learnings, challenges, and impact to support data‑driven decision‑making.
Coordination
- Coordinate with government stakeholders, implementation partners, trainers, field teams, and schools to ensure smooth implementation of mathematics programs.
- Collaborate with internal content developers, instructional designers, and cross‑functional teams to develop, review, and finalize high‑quality learning resources.
- Support the planning and execution of workshops, review meetings, consultations, content pilots, and capacity‑building initiatives.
- Facilitate communication among internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely implementation, feedback integration, and continuous improvement of program activities.
Desired Qualifications and Requirements
- Graduate/Post Graduate degree in a relevant field, with a preference for candidates with a technology background.
- At least 3 years of experience in similar roles in the private sector, NGOs or foundations.
- Strong foundation in mathematics, along with proficiency in English, Hindi, or other regional languages.
- Willingness to travel as and when required.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Self‑motivated and enthusiastic with strong organizational abilities and the capacity to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Proficiency in presentation, documentation and spreadsheet software and with digital content creation tools like Canva.
- Familiarity or proficiency with using Generative AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini.
