Job summary

Cisco Systems Bengaluru is seeking a Consulting Engineer Technical Leader to drive the strategy, design, and implementation of sophisticated Data Center and networking solutions. You will own end-to-end delivery of high-impact engagements, translating customer requirements into scalable architectures while influencing technology transitions at the highest levels.

Qualifications

• Requires 15+ years in a similar role with customer-facing exposure.

Your Impact

As a Consulting Engineer Technical Leader, you will serve as a trusted technical advisor to customers, leading the strategy, design, and implementation of sophisticated Data Center and networking solutions that directly accelerate business outcomes. You will own end-to-end delivery of high-impact engagements, translating customer business requirements into scalable architectures while influencing technology transitions at the highest levels. Partner with Cisco account teams, partners, and multi-functional collaborators to align solution designs with customer goals, driving measurable success across pre-sales and delivery phases. Advisor to help customers in achieving business outcomes, operational, program, or service objectives. Act as the primary escalation point for sophisticated problem resolution, demonstrating deep technical expertise to resolve sophisticated issues across a broad range of technologies. Develop and contribute digital intellectual capital, repeatable delivery frameworks, and knowledge-sharing practices that elevate the entire consulting practice. Mentorship that brings positive impact to the CX technical communities.

Minimum Qualifications

• Requires BS/BE/BTech degree or equivalent with 15+ years of experience in a similar job role.
• Experienced in customer-facing roles including pre-sales and/or service delivery roles.
• Any Data Center related certification(CCIE, CCNP VCP, etc.) with a strong drive for continuous learning.
• Inspiring leader who can showcase the value, Cisco solutions and services bring to Customer business and ensure adoption.
• Ability to develop high-level migration and delivery strategies, driving decisions and seeing it through execution effectively and in an efficient manner.
• Strong Nexus 2K/5K/7K/9K platform knowledge and experience.
• Experience in designing Data Center solutions from traditional DC standalone Nexus design to VXLAN Fabric-based SDN solutions demonstrating Single-Site Fabrics, ACI MultiPod & Multisite Fabric architectures.
• Has technical understanding & experience in solutions involving network services appliances (Firewalls, IPS load balancers, WAN optimizer appliances) from a network integration perspective.
• Knowledgeable and experience in cloud computing, building multi-cloud and hybrid-cloud solutions involving multiple cloud providers like AWS, Azure, Google.
• Knowledge on Python, Ansible etc.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of anyone or more IAC tools like Ansible, Terraform, CloudFormation etc will be an advantage.
• Familiar with virtualization and container environments (VMware, Microsoft, Cisco CVIM, RHOSP, Kubernetes) and have technical exposure in integrating ACI with virtualization platforms through VMM integration.
• Proven ability to mentor and develop junior engineers, with experience leading high-visibility strategic consulting engagements
• Can work in sophisticated or unstructured environments.
