Job summary

Elastic, the Search AI Company, is seeking a Senior Consulting Architect to join its Global Capability Center. You will lead the strategic design and hands-on implementation of the Elastic Stack with a focus on Search AI, working with enterprise environments to translate business challenges into robust Elastic solutions.

You will travel up to 20%, support remote and on-site engagements across time zones, and mentor peers while collaborating with engineering, product, and sales teams to drive

Qualifications

• Elastic Certification: Active Elastic Observability Engineer certification is mandatory.
• 7+ years as a Consulting Architect or senior IT functional leadership experience.
• Strong history of delivering professional services in complex enterprise environments.
• Proven experience deploying Elastic core domain: Enterprise Observability.
• Experience with Enterprise Observability (Metrics & Logs) at scale.
• Experience with cloud platforms and on-prem environments (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Hands-on with Linux, networking, security, containers, and automation.
• Strong communication, whiteboarding, and architectural storytelling.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Elastic solutions and Elastic Stack expertise to drive customer value.
• Lead strategy, roadmap, design, and sizing workshops with clients.
• Mentor team members and collaborate with engineering, product, and support.
• Scope opportunities with Sales and assess technical risks for engagements.
• Drive end-to-end delivery of complex Elastic projects and PoCs.

What is The Role:

We are seeking an exceptional and highly experienced Senior Consulting Architect to join our Global Capability Center. This senior role is critical to the success of our global customers, focusing on the strategic design and hands‑on implementation of the Elastic Stack with focus on Search AI.

You will serve as a trusted technical architect and consultant, working with complex enterprise environments to translate business challenges into robust, scalable, and value-driven Elastic solutions. The role requires a blend of deep technical expertise, senior-level consulting acumen, and the ability to work effectively across time zones, with both remote support and required on‑site client engagement.

What You Will Be Doing:

As a member of our professional services team you will deliver Elastic solutions and Elastic stack expertise to drive customer business value from our products. Work with clients to facilitate strategy, roadmap, design, and sizing in workshops. You will apply your soft skills to advocate for your customers, build relationships and exhibit strong communications skills. Comfortability working remotely or on‑site in a highly distributed team. Your activities will include end‑to‑end delivery of ground‑breaking Elastic projects to our customers, as well as development of proof‑of‑concepts that highlight the value of the Elastic Stack and its solutions. Other topics will include Elastic solutions adaption and acceleration along with data modeling, query development and optimization, cluster tuning and scaling with a focus on fast search and analytics at scale.

Daily tasks include driving and handling the objectives, requirements gathering, project tasks, project status, dependencies, and timelines, to ensure engagements are delivered optimally and on time while meeting and exceeding the customer objectives. Your goal is to make your customers love Elastic and achieve amazing value from the platform!

Work across teams with engineering, product management, and support teams to identify feature improvements, extensions, and product defects. Facilitate feedback from the field back to the product. Engage with the Elastic Sales team to scope opportunities while assessing technical risks, questions, or concerns. Be a mentor to your team members, while also learning from them to accelerate your skills

Essential Qualifications

• Elastic Certification: Required – Active Elastic Observability Engineer certification is mandatory.
• Minimum of 7 years as a Consulting Architect or senior IT functional leadership experience
• Consulting History: A strong history of working as a Consultant delivering professional services engagements in complex enterprise environments.
• Domain Expertise: Proven experience in deploying solutions using Elastic core domain: Enterprise Observability.
• Fleet and agent installation policies, and scalability considerations.
• Knowledge in deploying enterprise observability (Metrics and Logs) solutions at scale (Application performance monitoring (APM), User experience monitoring (UEM), Infrastructure optimization, Network visibility and monitoring).
• Experience leading observability projects at both the architectural and program level.
• Experience working with monitoring tools that integrate into service management.
• Deep understanding of distributed architecture including application, database and systems.
• Cloud & Infrastructure: Hands‑on experience with on‑prem systems and/or major public/private cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Technical Depth: Hands‑on experience in Linux, networking, security, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and infrastructure automation.
• Programming/Scripting: Experience utilizing programming or scripting languages in a corporate environment (e.g., Python, Javascript, Go).
• Communication: Exceptional customer advocacy, relationship‑building, and soft skills including whiteboarding and driving architectural conversations. Proven ability to lead and articulate technical solutions to stakeholders.
• Experience contributing to an open-source project or documentation.
• Travel: Ability and willingness to travel to client sites periodically as required for project success (up to 20%)

Bonus Points:

• Any cloud service provider's - Gen AI certification.
• Additional Elastic Certifications
• Comfortable with Ansible, JavaScript, Terraform
• Experience working closely with a pre-sales organization in scoping customer needs and delivering against a Statement of Work (SOW).
• Experience as a technical instructor or public speaker on enterprise infrastructure software.
• Experience contributing to an open-source project or documentation.
