Job summary

Mahajan & Aibara in Pune seeks a Consultant / Sr Consultant - Internal Audit (Non BFSI) to ensure audits are completed on time and aligned with policies. You will document work papers, supervise Article trainees, and coordinate data for audits, delivering high-quality client services across engagements.

The role requires strong audit knowledge, effective communication skills, and willingness to travel within India and abroad as needed.

Qualifications

• CA with 0–4 years post-qualification experience.
• Experience in internal and operational audits with audit methodologies.
• Ability to lead and manage Article trainees / Semi Qualifiers.
• Identify risks and opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with clients and stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel within India and internationally.
• Adaptability to various working environments and client industries.

Responsibilities

Role Consultant / Sr Consultant - Internal Audit (Non BFSI) -

Location - Pune

• Ensure completion of assigned audits and documentation of work papers on time.
• Ensuring compliances to companies' or organizations' policies and procedures.
• Motivating the Articles & providing them the required training on the job. Traveling within and outside Mumbai as necessary to meet client needs. To prepare audit reports after discussion with a team leader with an action plan.
• To coordinate within the organization to gather the data required to complete the internal audit process.
• Consistently deliver quality client services and take charge of the project area assigned to him/her.
• Demonstrate in-depth technical capabilities and professional knowledge. Demonstrate ability to assimilate to new knowledge.
• To evaluate the process on regular basis to understand the functionality of the same as per the set guidelines.
• To check out the gaps and provide the solutions to close the gaps within the process.

Desired Candidate profile

• Chartered Accountant (CA) with 0 to 4 years of relevant post-qualification experience.
• Demonstrated experience in conducting internal and operational audits, with a solid understanding of audit methodologies and practices.
• Proven ability to lead and manage Article trainee / Semi Qualifiers, fostering a collaborative and productive team environment
• Ability to identify risks, opportunities for cost reduction, and areas for efficiency improvement.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex information clearly and effectively to clients and stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel within India and internationally as required.
