Qualifications

• Minimum 4-year Degree Qualified from an internationally recognised University in an appropriate Property or Construction related discipline
• Relevant experience, typically 4-7 years, in Project Management in the AEC industry
• Good communication skills and command over spoken and written English
• Able to analyse information and produce meaningful reports and documents
• Capable of managing own activities and prioritising work across time zones

Responsibilities

• Assist our team in fulfilling contracted Project Management obligations on projects across the lifecycle
• Support and report on change management processes and establish effective delivery protocols
• Understand project management processes and deliverables across RIBA stages 0–7
• Assist in developing, monitoring and reporting KPI metrics for project delivery
• Where relevant act as lead project manager on projects
• Contribute to project management processes and manage scope, change, risk and quality
• Utilise WSP’s online Project Management/Controls tool for project management
• Plan and prioritise work independently to meet service obligations
• Promote health and safety practices and support safe, sustainable outcomes
• Identify threats to progress and scope; prepare monthly reports and minutes
• Assist in training and team management where appropriate

WSP are looking for experienced Project Managers with typically 4-7 years’ experience, to provide Project Management support services to our Project Management Team based in the UK. Responsibilities

• Assist our team in fulfilling their contracted Project Management obligations on small and large construction projects across the entire project lifecycle, from inception to completion and occupation;
• Support, and report on, the change management process on selected projects, and put in place effective protocols to support successful delivery;
• Have detailed knowledge and experience of project management processes, including a clear understanding of the key deliverables for a Project Team, as defined under RIBA stages 0 to 7;
• Assist the Project Director or UK Project Manager, in developing, monitoring and reporting on key performance metrics by applying tools and procedures that contribute to successful project delivery;
• Where relevant and feasible, act as lead project manager on projects;
• Make effective contribution to Project Management processes, irrespective of the scale and complexity of a project;
• Perform, or assist in, project delivery leadership, scope management, change management, commercial management, risk management, client management, quality assurance;
• Effectively manage the project via WSP’s online Project Management/Controls tool;
• Be able to operate independently by planning and prioritising their own work, and ensuring that our scope of service obligations are met;
• Support, or champion, excellent health and safety practices on Project Management commissions to achieve safe, sustainable and efficient outcomes that meet agreed objectives;
• Proactively identify and highlight any threats to progress and scope of service obligations;
• Preparation of monthly reports, meeting minutes, and other management documentation to support successful delivery of our commissions;
• Assist in training and team management responsibilities where appropriate;
• Work with the WSP values to ensure that work complies with all necessary corporate, departmental and legislative requirements and procedures, to guarantee that the necessary consistency and quality of delivery is maintained.

Qualifications

Key Competencies, Desired Skills, Qualifications

Essential:

• Minimum 4-year Degree Qualified from an internationally recognised University in an appropriate Property or Construction related discipline
• Relevant experience, typically 4-7 years, in Project Management in the AEC (Architecture, Engineering, Construction) industry;
• Good communication skills and command over spoken and written English;
• Being confident in obtaining information from people and being sufficiently proactive;
• Possess an ability to analyse information from different sources and assemble into a meaningful document in the form of a report, programme, spreadsheet, etc.
• Capable of managing, recording and prioritising their own business activities, recognising and reconciling conflicts to their achievement;
• Be responsive to change and accurately record and communicate variations and their consequences;
• Comfortable with receiving instructions leading to defined tasks and accepting personal responsibility for their actions;
• Understands the criticality of providing support to an overseas manager to fulfil a defined contractual obligation;
• Conversant with Microsoft software such as Project, Excel, Powerpoint and Word;
• Knowledge of industry standards and best practices in Project or Design Management;
• Capable of managing and prioritising own work;
• Possess commercial awareness;
• Ability to work in a team environment;
• Routinely able to work to tight deadlines for UK and international projects;
• Comfortable working independently and is highly self-motivated;
• Able to communicate across time zones effectively and efficiently;

Preferred:

• Experience of working with a team outside of India, from an Indian base location.
