Job summary

WPP Production in India is seeking a Consultant Print Designer to build and prep mechanical files for production using Adobe Creative Suite. You will prepare color separation and image retouching, and coordinate with Project Management and Print Production for setup.

As part of a global production team, you will iterate localization files while maintaining brand guidelines and ensuring QC checks. A 1–3 year track record and a packaging/graphics education are preferred.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of production support experience for art directors and designers.
• Diploma or degree in packaging, printing technology, graphics arts.
• Strong knowledge of print, color retouching, and digital artwork production.
• A good team player with the ability to work accurately under pressure and keep skills up to date.

Responsibilities

Consultant Print Designer

Job Responsibilities

• Responsible for building and prepping mechanical files for release to production using AdobeCreative Suite software.
• Prepare color separation and retouching of images.
• Liaise with Project Management and Print Production teams on print preparation.
• While honoring the design intent as much as possible, the mechanical artist will be responsible for the iteration and versioning of localized artwork files.
• Act as a brand QC/Guardian – always ensure brand guidelines, QC checklists and procedures arefollowed

Job Requirements

• 1-3 years of experience providing production support (print and digital) to art directors and designers within an in-house creative team or studio.
• Diploma/Degree in packaging, printing technology, graphics arts. Well versed in Adobe InDesign,Illustrator, and Photoshop.
• Good knowledge of print, color retouching, and digital artwork production.
• A good team player and able to work accurately under pressure and be committed to regularly updating skills through training.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
