Job summary

Gridlines is a rapidly growing financial modelling consultancy. We seek an experienced model audit professional passionate about financial modelling and growth. Lead audit assignments, review commercial docs, and ensure models are accurate and well-documented.

You will work with a remote team, train juniors, and contribute to client pitches while driving process improvement and innovation in modelling methodologies.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of relevant experience in a financial role within a recognized advisory practice or large corporate setting.
• Good appreciation of accounting concepts; accounting qualification beneficial.
• Sound understanding of Project Finance concepts.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team.
• Experience with FAST financial modeling standard is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead model audit assignments to ensure accuracy of arithmetically and commercially correct models.
• Use software checks and parallel model development to identify modelling errors.
• Review and interpret commercial documentation and reflect it accurately in the financial model.
• Prepare comprehensive model documentation detailing assumptions, methodologies and results.
• Maintain meticulous records of modeling processes and methodologies for consistency.
• Assist in developing project plans, timelines and resource allocation for delivery.
• Train and manage junior team members on assignments.
• Communicate model findings and insights effectively to clients and internal teams.
• Contribute to client pitches and build client relationships.

Requirements

Operations

• Lead model audit assignments, models are arithmetically and commercially correct
• Use a combination of software checks and parallel model development to identify modelling errors
• Review and interpret commerdcial documentation and ensure it is reflected accurately in the financial model
• Take ownership of specific assignments and projects, demonstrating initiative and dedication to achieving high-quality outcomes
• Contribute to the development and enhancement of our financial modeling methodologies and tools, driving continuous improvement and innovation
• Prepare comprehensive model documentation detailing assumptions, methodologies, and results
• Maintain meticulous records of modeling processes and methodologies to uphold our high standards and ensure consistency
• Assist in developing project plans, timelines, and resource allocation to ensure efficient and effective project delivery

People

• Train, motivate and manage junior team members on assignments
• Collaborate closely with team members, learning and contributing to assignments
• Communicate model findings and insights effectively to clients and internal teams
• Simplify complex financial model issues to make them understandable for non-technical stakeholders

Key Skills And Qualifications
